Congrats on the interview. I hope this will be a christmas present for you and a changing point in your life. You are doing admirably coping with everything xx
PS: your catching captain story made me laugh - I had same problem with my old chap in the fog - I was not amused! I think these oldies just like to show there is loads of life left yet.0 -
Terrific news on the interview! Like the others, will be keeping all crossed for you ....
Your customers sound considerably more - um - colourful than mine. And I know what you mean about not having to think, it is quite relaxing mentally to let someone else take all the decisions whilst at work.
Love the Captain and Colin stories, and how well I know that feline glare when they do something silly, but somehow, mysteriously, it's your fault.0 -

Thank you I hope it does too.
Have you noticed they only do it to you if the weather is extremely cold, foggy or wet? Or of course when you have little time because it's getting dark or you have to go to work or all of the above?Terrific news on the interview! Like the others, will be keeping all crossed for you ....

At the moment not having to think is just the ticket. The job is simple and occasionally when someone is going on about how difficult it is, I'll nearly step in to take over. Then I remember, not paid to manage here, step back....Sometimes I've discretely offered advice on management issues/style but it falls on deaf ears, so I go and happily stack the dishwasher!
The customers amuse me on the whole, most are quite lovely/ordinary. Again, I don't worry because I walk out of the door at the end of my shift and if it came to it I don't need to return!Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

It's pouring with rain - deep joy
The Captain will be a mud monster, he's bound to have somersaulted from top to bottom of the paddock. The gateway will be deep mud and I'll be lucky if I don't fall over in it.
DS3 is coming over later says he will take me to the supermarket to save petrol. I will bake him a cake to say thank you - Chocolate will be the order of the day as I have all the ingredients in.
Colin got wet in the rain and has hissed at me because I tried to dry him with a towel. To get his revenge to such an affront to cat dignity he has walked all over my cream throw on the bed  leaving cat franking marks everywhereTotal debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

Yes, Doglet is unimpressed with the wet stuff descending from the sky and ran away from me attacking the towel as he went, which was amusing as it meant he tripped him self up!
He is having boys cuddles on the bed to make up for it this morningStart info Dec11

Now that's funny
Has he taken out a large insurance policy on you recently?
Many moons ago DS1 washed up the mugs prior to making a round of tea, he didn't rinse them out and served tea that looked like greenish cappuccino. All except his adoring grandma passed, even she had to after a couple of sips...
I think there's a law about that you know! and another one about accepting socks from strangers [or was it sweets?]
Glad to give you something to laugh over and put a smile on your face but am now concerned and might have to start opening all his mail to double check if there is a policy now :rotfl:.
From what I understand Grandparents do tend to be very accommodating towards grandchildren (I didn't grow up with mine but my parents absolutely dote on my nieces and nephew) so can imagine the look of taking tentative sips whilst pretending to enjoy the cuppa :rotfl:.
It's accepting sweets and lifts not socks, in all seriousness though husbandpet has an abundance and I do need to cull my collection so if you feel happier you can pay me with an easy recipe for banana and white choc chip muffins. I didn't want to ask as it involves banana's however I'm coming up with nothing from the internet that makes sense to me so could really do with a childrens type recipe or one that is completely step by step :rotfl:. I found one recipe that seemed really easy until I got to the ingredient Flour? What flour did it mean, do I get self raising, or is it plain or what. Please help me oh goddess of all things banana recipe related.
Oh and 50 Sheds of Grey is also available as a book now and actually quite enjoyable (husbandpet bought it for his manager - weirdo :rotfl:).
Love Alioops
