naughty colin. he is a bit greedy maybe he wanted the bird food ha ha ha
I suspect he was planning on eating the birds, unfortunately. Obviously, felt he was inconspicuous enough for them to land on the table. Where on the table was a mote point, as Mr Tubby was overflowing it on all directions.Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

Sid sounds amazing!
Ah. Well not sure amazing is the right word. However he's one of those dogs that just make you smile. He's an Italian Spinone, got a permanent grin and waggly tail. A typical Sid conversation goes like this;
3 x German Shepherds (his best mates): Look, there's a squirrel, quick get the squirrel, round the tree, faster, chase the squirrel.
Sid: I'm chasing the squirrel, I'M CHASING THE SQUIRREL!! (pause) What's a squirrel?
He makes an art form out of soaking you with a wet beard, particularly if you're just going out of the door to work, his tail is the most dangerous part of him, hurts like hell if he gets you with it!
I've not put the tree up yet. It might be a mistake.....0 -
Love the description :rotfl:Not so bright when it comes to squirrels then? :rotfl:Colin has chased the squirrels, not a chance of catching them mind! I think squirrels are here to torment cats and dogs, no other reason for them...Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

Just not so bright... full stop. But so loving!! Adoring brown eyes gazing at you (while the wet, cold beard seeps into your clothes).0

Hi Piq
You have made my day describing Col's antics. Wonder how he managed to climb into the bird table.
Thank you for the banana muffin recipe - I like the photo of the ingredients and utensils, then the finished product. Very tempting. I had just thrown out two over-ripe bananas - don't feel I can rummage through the compost bin now though. Although no-one would know.....0 -
Piq, my girl kitty is the image of your Colin and, sadly, just as Rubenesqe! She only has one sachet of Whiskers daily and a bowl of bikkies with free access, plus her glass of water. She runs about like an idiot, loves playing football with her papa, chases birds and meeces as if she were starving. Maybe it's something to do with their breed??
Good luck for interview, knock 'em dead!
Am going to do your muffin recipe, what do you use if you don't have bananas? Not big on fruit here, love chocolate though!

Just burst out laughing in the office at your "Colin and the bird table" story! Had to explain story through ongoing giggles to bemused colleagues :rotfl:
Hilarious!! Maybe he wanted a bit more roughage in his diet? And very apt photo from Granny!
