Morning, hope job goes well today :D

What is it with poo and animals, my hoss likes to lie in her poo in the stable at night, only on her white patches though, grr.

The Captain does it too. I'm now wondering whether Fairy liquid will clean stained hocks....

Here I am, back after my day at Pr*t.

I wasn't sure whether I was going to like it at first, it's very regimented, but the staff are lovely! They never leave you to struggle and they genuinely seem to love their job. Nothing was too much trouble for the manager, I kept waiting for her to turn into a psychotic control freak, but it never happened.

It was hard work, not unexpected but good fun. I can have whatever I want for breakfast and lunch, unlimited bottled water, fizzy drinks and coffee. You get a clean shirt every day, no having to wash the uniform! Now that can't be bad!

I've definitely got a 16 hours a week contract, the manager says she loves me - ahh... I'll earn more than the £71 jsa, which will be helpful. I believe I'll still get my NI stamp paid for and the signing on will pay my mortgage insurance until I earn a full time salary.

The Bear was traumatized about me leaving him and won't get off my lap, he's currently holding up the laptop :D

A payment from Quidco arrived in my account this morning £70 :T mainly gained from changing home insurance. Just as well as I've had a bit of a spending spree :o Two new bras at £20 each, but then it turned out they both had £5 off, so it was £30 for two bras. Now before you all go mad and tell me I could buy a bra for 9p from somewhere or another. I have special needs when it comes to bras and only a certain style will do. I realised I needed a nude coloured bra for under the Pr*t shirt.

Also bought a pack of cotton socks for work, more comfortable when you're on your feet all day, cost of £3.50 for four pairs. Finally, some deodorant, foot spray and talc, can't remember the exact amount about an tenner.

I've painted my toenails a lovely fushia pink and will give myself a quick manicure later.

When I got home there was a voice mail about the job I was turned down for, the one I was too experienced for. It turns out they've decided they do want the extra experience and want me to go in for an interview!!!!!! This is initally a contract job for six months but will probably be a rolling contract for at least a year! This is not the contract job I was talking about yesterday either, I'm waiting for feedback for that one.

A very busy day and I look like I'm challenging Mrs P in the long update stakes....

  • So you don't have to wash the uniform?? wow McDonald's were never as accommodating when i worked for them many moons ago lol. Can't be a bad thing, eh!

Great news about the quidco too, i do love a bit of cashback :D and i have special needs for bras too lol :p

Good luck with all these leads and interviews for other jobs, it's all happening at once :) you'll be offered both now you watch and will have to choose between the three jobs! xx

Fantastic news Piq, it really looks as though things are on the up. I totally understand re the bras issue, I can never get away with sm ones sadly. Especially as they do such pretty styles at such good prices.

I had a double mastectomy and reconstruction a few years ago. Meaning I can't risk really cheap bras digging in and doing some damage. Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of feeling round there and wouldn't necessarily notice a wire digging in until it was too late. It hasn't stopped me wanting pretty undies though, probably made me want them more! I only get them from M&S as I know they fit and are well made and so very pretty these day ;)

 Well I think that's a very justified expense then. I agree on the M&S undies front, I buy all mine from there. Anywhere else for me is a false economy as they just don't last/don't get worn because they don't fit properly.
