Hello! I've been here before about a year ago but took a long break, so back with a new username. I'm a 30 year old married mum of two 2-year-old boys, I work 20 hours a week and am at home the rest of the time. This time last year my house was A Pigsty. It's still fairly bad as things go, but a lot better than it was.

However, lately I'm doing a lot of overtime and the amount of time I spend doing housework has dropped. I need to clean more and clean smarter! So I'm picking up with this thread again from today. At least it makes things more enjoyable! Nice to see you all.

    Friday - Bathroom

    Level One
    Clean sink and toilet
    Clear floor
    Level Two
    Clean bath & shower
    Sweep and mop floor
    Level Three
It's HT go out and play!
    Extras
    HHI
    [STRIKE]
    Clear out some emails
    [/STRIKE][STRIKE]Clear out old mags[/STRIKE]
Declutter mission: put unused bookcase in the shed...I might never get around to selling it, but at least it won't be cluttering up the house!

    Morning All

Well we were supposed to be going to the pictures this morning but the kids were pains yesterday so I've told them to forget it. I'll see how I feel later. We're at mum and dad's for tea anyway so I'll be out all evening. Already made a start this morning as I'm attempting to sort out the dumping ground which is the side of my bed! I also want to make a bit of a change around in the conservatory as I've had a little filing cabinet which I want to put in there.

    Have a good day all

    Hugs

    Morning all!

New phone is lovely, had a bit of a play with it last night - not so much flying done! Will get back on track today as it's the bathroom - as it's such a small room the results show more, I think?

The app I bought yesterday needs a bit more investigation, but anything that makes housework more 'fun' has to be worth a go really!

Hope everyone has a good last day of half term - no kids at home for me but it certainly makes a difference to the roads and the shopping centre near where I work - lunchtimes are murder but the roads are quieter!

    Happy houseworking everyone!

CY hope you DD gets better soon, she must be so fed up of being ill.

Welcome Raven - don't try to do the whole week's list in one day.

Jumper welcome back in your new guise

Laundry first today and then shower and hoovering upstairs before my torture session at 11:30, must get petrol on the way.

Hope to do a bit in the garden later especially if I can organise a friend for DS3.

Still having a go at my bedroom. I've had the laptop playing stuff on Netflix while I've been sorting to keep me occupied.

Ha! I just came on to check what I should concentrate on today, and guess what, I gave my bathroom a good going over yesterday so pretty much have a day off today!!

DGD1 and her fiance came down from London yesterday to ask my advice about music for the wedding (feeling very honoured!), and I'd got up really early and done a housework blitz, also made some bread and a big pot of soup.

The three of us went over to DD4's late afternnon to catch the last part of my DGD5's 11th birthday party (included the birthday cake bit - good timing!) - before delivering the two of them back to the station. Fiance (is he going to be my DGSIL?!) had to get back to join his mates in the pub to watch their team play Valencia, and, erm, lose as it turned out!

I then went to my book group for a pleasant evening - had some lovely hugs from those who had not seen me since before my DH died.

So, like Pigpen I guess I'll do some knitting today - haven't had a stay-in day for quite a while. Have several projects on the go, including two pairs of socks (for me!) nearly finished.

(Two items I can't quite do yet - a sweater and a knee rug for DH - will have to wait a little while until I'm a bit stronger I guess.)

Mummyroysofthree - hope you are feeling a bit better.

Have a good day everyone x
