Yes there was some instability during my DLM when my sync speeds went over 10Mbps and my SNR dropped nearer to the 7db Sky target.
Not sure about 17Mbps though;) would be nice though.

    I'll contact sky today.

Don't confuse dlm training instability with "normal" line instaility - some tips here for optimising your internal wiring
and therefore ensuring any line issues are not your responsibility:-

The kitz calculator is generally regarded as the most accurate estimator of attainable speed out there - pop your line attenuation in there and you'll see for yourself :)

I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple :D

I put my line attenuation into Kitz and it says I am 3.3km from the exchange when I am actually 1.83km according to Samknows.

Mine says its 1.8km, and I thought I was further lol

I've opened up my master socket and disconnected the wires which are un-used and done the same on my extension socket and rebooted the router. Now synced at under 3Mbps:eek:

  • Yeah looking good:)

I've got my sync back to where it was now! and have emailed sky to ask if they can restart DLM on my line to get a better connection.

I did notice when using the phone I got an echo when I spoke, since pulling out the excess wires in my sockets the echo has gone and the line sounds loads clearer.

Have also ordered an adsl filtered backplate thingy for my master socket as that should help with things to;)
