    Morning all!
    Sunflower, good luck for today!
Have climbed half way up mount ironmore, am waiting for WM to finish so I can feed it again, and am debating what to make for dinner tonight. Social worker came to see mum and I yesterday, so much form filling done too, and she thinks approval and finance will be sorted within 2 weeks for great aunt to move to a permanent care setting, so later today will be researching care home inspection reports and making a list for mum and I to view, not looking forward to that, but it is for the best for her, she's so vulnerable at home alone.
Anyways, on with the chores as am back at work tomorrow, can't wait for Friday as I am on holiday next week.
Have a good day all, big hugs in a pile at the door, help yourselves if needed!
    RIP Iain

    Morning everyone

Been out and walked the dog this morning over the fields, parts of paths very slippy. Very cold and icy here today. Was okay when Buttons was off lead, but nearly fell twice when he pulled me a little. That was even with my walking shoes on. Was meant to be going to Craft club but it was cancelled due to icy weather, understand as a few of the ladies that go are a bit older than me.

Today plans are to clean cooker, make soup, make sausage casserole, clean floors and perhaps do a bit of sewing. Older Car has been taken to garage as it keeps overheating. Hope it is not too expensive.

Sunflower - all the best for today, thinking of you.
JackieG - nice to see you posting. Good news about the redundancy, good luck in whatever you decide to do.
Adelight - hope you feel better soon.
BB - think your dd would rather be at school.
Bitsy - what kind of dog are you getting?
Flutterby - Shame that the hosp visit was a waste of time.
Molly - I will be glad too when the ice goes, dont mind snow but hate ice on footpaths.

Sorry If i have missed anyone. Hugs to anyone that needs/wants one. Take Care.,

    Hi everyone,

Nice but cold here, ground very hard and snow is frozen where there s some left.DDog seemed keen to get back in this morning :rotfl:(not the only one :D)

I was just ready to put tea in the oven when we had a power cut last night, just as it was going dark. Its not long since we had one so a few of the candles and tea lights were still out,got those lit and a camping light so then DH drove out to find a chippy-not very MS but it felt too cold to give the workers a sandwich. It was odd because some of the houses on the street were still ok,at first we thought it was a problem with our power till DH talked to a neighbour.Anyway it came back on after a couple of hours :j,and we can use the shepherds pie tonight,so Julie67,you're right it does make you glad for what you have.Glad the boiler is fixed too.

(((Sunflower)))- hope the appointment goes ok today

JG don't stop posting,I have missed your posts too.
Taplady - really hope s.o.fills the flask up for DH.
Bitsy- :ja gorgeous new puppy, bet you can't wait.
Candy glad you enjoyed your course.

Jaxx- :D smiling at the thought of you leaving the shed open for feline waifs and strays.

Didnt do any sewing yesterday-decided on some catch up tv instead :o
LW- hope that shoulder eases soon x
    Dundee Doll -welcome :)

    Afternoon everyone,

Boy is it cold here, not a lot of snow left but what is here is very crunchy underfoot.
My feet felt a bit uncomfortable on the way to work today, when I got here I realised that DD2 must have gone to school in my wellies and I was wearing hers which are 2 sizes smaller!

Lovely to see you posting again JackieG and good news on the redundancy.
Sorry that you feel that the daily is not as supportive as it used to be.

JackieO, glad you were spoiled on your birthday, you spend your life doing things for others.

    Sunflower, best of luck today.

JulieG, how is Eliza, is her toe better now?

Quick tea tonight as DS and OH are doing sporting things and DD1 is in a concert. She had agreed to a babysitting job as well so I am doing that!

Hope the snow/ice is not hindering anyone and that it goes away soon.

    Have a lovely day everyone.:)

Hugs to Bramble, Molly, LW and Lou and any others that I may have missed.

    Hi everyone.

Busy morning here - I've bought a house! It's absolutely immaculate and DS2 and his OH can just move in and start living. Fingers crossed that it all goes through without too many hitches.

Doing lots of fiddly jobs today which don't make a big visible difference but have been hanging about too long - a couple of jam-packed drawers emptied, tidied, de-cluttered and looking lovely, - that sort of thing.

On my own today so have some veg in the fridge just begging to be fried up with some LO ham and maybe an egg. Quick and cheap - perfect!

nmlc: Mustard definitely, and I always look out for offers on Seriously Strong cheese which I find good for cooking - but a tad expensive normally.

mummycm: welcome, and what a lovely story. Children are very compassionate and generous when little. Pity some of them grow cynical and selfish during teenagery, but they go back to niceness later.

jaxx: Good on you! Done the same thing before now. Can't bear the thought of animals out at night in these temperatures. Don't understand people putting their animals out at night with no shelter and warmth.
