Most of the nightlife and beach scenes were filmed in Magaluf though as I was there myself last September with friends and recognised a lot of the places. I was expecting sleaze central but was actually impressed how clean it was, everyone was friendly and we all felt very safe, even walking back along the beach front at 4am.
No, it is a combination of two of the lads brothers have been there before and the travel agency said that you get a lot for your money, they are staying in a 3 star apartment versus what their money would get for them staying in another country.0 -
Just a note about suncream - it does become less effective over time. My (very pale) middle daughter always throws hers out at the end of every summer and buys new for her next sun holiday. However my (tans by looking out of the window) daughter uses hers from year to year :rotfl: I guess it's up to you how much you think he needs the protection!0

Got to let him go out into the world and make his own mistakes. It's the only way we learn. From your previous posts on this board he already seems immature for 18, don't extend that into his 20's for goodness sake.
By all means give him a cash card, but do not disclose the PIN. WHEN he wipes out all of his cash in the first 4 days, he will have to come grovelling to you for the PIN and perhaps he'll realise that perhaps he doesnt 'know it all'.
Don't fuss too much over packing with him etc. It will only pee him off now and if he has everything he needs when he's out there he won't be grateful as he won't realise. Let him pack and realise 'oh !!!!, i didn't pack such and such!'
He'll thank you for it (not literally) in the future.0 -
Just make sure he goes. If he stays at home, he might be squashed by the asteroid which is this very moment targetting itself on your house.
I can't help thinking the worst, him falling drunk off the apartment balcony, being stranded at sea on his club 18-30 boat cruise, not finding his way back to the hotel and sleeping by a well with ants all over him (inbetweeners again:rotfl:)
Any tips/things from parents that have experienced the first overseas lads holiday that I have missed to tell him/warn him about to keep me sane and him safe?
The point is this: there are risks, even in a risk free existence.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0
