    I'm on a package that for £7.14 per month gives me 4 discs (2 at home) plus unlimited stream. They wrote to me on 9th July to say "Your package will change to - 4 DVDs & Blu-rays per month, PLUS unlimited instant viewing, for £8.16 a month.' I wrote back to ask if this still meant 2 at home and how they justified the massive increase. They wrote back to say the email was wrong and I'd get a correct email soon. I didn't have a correct email by yesterday (2 weeks after the first email) so I inquired again. I was told that my package would by £8.16 for 4 discs and no streaming! What kind of a mug do they think I am to agree to carry on with a contract that gives me less product for more money and was handled so badly?

    I have canceled as hubby is now out of work and It was actually easier to cancel than I expected. May go back to them at some point though

    Managed to get rid in the end, thanks to the tip that after about midnight the cancellation page on their website updates itself to allow you to cancel online (because lines are closed at that time). Easy as pie after that.

    Ironically, I was just singing the praises of another company for having humans to talk to, but with the likes of Lovefilm I'd definitely rather interact with a machine.

    I have been with LF for 20 months and say the only issues I had were:
    . Sending me a disc with a huge crack on the DVD. Not too sure to blame LF or the the previous rentee for not reporting it as the crack was hidden behind the sticker on the sleeve
    . Faulty discs. I had 4 this year
    . My package is 3 discs at a time unlimited rentals. One day, I posted 3 discs back in two envelopes in the same postbox- all sent out in one. I find the envelopes aren't strong enough for 3 discs. The following day, they only received the envelope with the 2 discs. Phoned LF and said that the disc must be lost your end, Got a manager to get this sorted out and got 3 discs sent to me the following day.

    My only moan is why don't the posting office their end open on Saturday mornings? If you send back discs on Friday, the earliest your list will be updated is Monday.

    Have cancelled them today had no trouble at all no pleading or persuasion so at least it was painless for me!

    i have love film instant through my smart tv. and i love it its really cheap and there is lots to watch , have seen loads of films and several tv series i prefere older films so not an issue for me if they are not the mos t recent ones.

    everyting plays smoothly no buffering apart from when you first click play of course.
