I tried for a month for free and enjoyed it - but did not continue. in case i had problems with getting the M&S vouchers. Sounds like it was a wise decision.

Found the site hard to navigate - could not find a way of sorting by rating or date. Maybe i missed it.

Also went over my broadband allowance - so had i stayed i would have had to pay my broadband provider another £5 a month.

Thank you Martin for having a completely complex system of tqists and turns. The very first time I take your advise I get nothing. Well done.

    In your email it states.

Use this free Netflix* 30-day trial link we've blagged for MoneySavers and you get an £8 M&S voucher.

So stupidly I click the link and register with Netflix - do I get a voucher NO!

Apparently I was supposed to ignore that link and click some link called quidco.

Well here is a concept, put that in the first link so I click that. OMG that makes sense doesnt it!
    Waste of SPACE email!

I had exactly the same. I was ignored on twitter when asking for help from them. A woman on the netflix "helpline" said MSE were NOTHING to do with the promotion, that the twitter sites are not run by them & that I had to call m&s to get my voucher! What a load of rubbish - when I see a link that says sign up through this link for your free vouchers, I press it and it takes me straight to netflix, how am I supposed to know??

I clicked on the MSE link and used Chrome. I got the voucher for £8 very quickly.

I then got another email a couple of days later apologising that people had had problems with the voucher, and gave me another £2 making £10.

I'm please with it, and think Netflix is very good - I'm happy with the initial content and am sure it will get better and better.

Free trial - yes, I love it, no problems. Worth £5.99 a month? No. Not current enough films for me.

I agree. I cancelled yesterday right at the end of my 1 month free trial, with them giving me a £10 M&S voucher in return for my watching loads of free movies. Almost every aspect of the Netflix service is first class. They even allowed me to finish watching a movie which I'd started watching at about 10:30pm with my free membership due to end at midnight. The movie carried on until about 12:30 am and they let me finish, which I thought was very good of them.

The ONLY bad thing is the very restricted choice of movies. Yes they are adding new movies daily but it was too little, too late for me. On choice of movies, LoveFilm is currently in a different league.

Just phoned Netflix tonight to find out when I would be getting my vouchers. Surprised to find out they were washing their hands of the offer and saying I needed to contact M&S and they would verify I was a Netflix member who was availing of this offer. Hmmmm! Really !!

Sorry but I don't think so, next time I call them I won't be so lenient with their lame explanation. I gave the contact agent the link to the MSE webpage showing where it stated we were to contact Netflix if we had any problems with the vouchers.

I have tried to post said link but I am getting this message from the MSE boards....

Oh for god's sake when can I post link?

Her response was to say that MSE site were wrong and shouldn't be advising people to do this!!

Can someone from MSE please comment on this?

    Thanks

    I signed up using the M & S offer.
Got my £8 voucher code, before I could use it I got another email saying there had been problems and here was £10 instead.
Used the voucher no problems (along with a £50 M & S voucher got from work as a Christmas present) to buy £199 speakers - reduced to £75 for only £19 including p&p.

I really like Netflix, tried it on the wii on my CRT tv, no app on my LED TV for netflix, but not a problem as my PC is plugged in to my TV.
Picture quality is great, no problems with the streaming at all.
Along with everyone else, a bit diappointed with the selection. They need to improve the selection pretty quickly or there's no point me having it.

I will wait and see if I get the other two £8 M&S vouchers for continuing (paid) for another two months.
  • Signed up for the NEtflix trial, but liked it so much are going to continue with it instead of the Sky Movies we've just cancelled. We've very rarely had a buffering problem, and the best bit about it are the number of TV series on there, we've gone through 24, Coupling, INbetweeners, Heroes, Prison Break and still more to do, so definitely worth it.

Films are a bit old, but there are still some goodies.

We guessed that because it's still new to the UK they're going to be adding a load of new films over the next few months as they start getting subscribers? Hopefully so, but again it's the TV series on there that make it for us.
