The current rates are so poor we are all sitting at home seething!
Only a few weeks ago I opened a 2.5% easy access, thinking how poor that was compared to my 3%+ bonus still running accounts - you can't even get that now!0 -
Indeed, 2.25% seems to be about the norm now, and I remember earlier in the year that I refused to open a 2.75% account thinking the interest rate was too low to bother with!
Middle of Jan I need to find a new home for 24K of cash due to a 4% offer expiring. Might put it in one of my Halifax 2.8% accounts, but even those will expire middle of next year, along with my PO 3% account.0 -
The best currently available savings accounts are a few current accounts. Easy to find.0

But only work upto about 38K. Will Santander even allow you to have multiple 123 accounts? If so you'd still have to pay the £2/month, so £24/year coming off your interest after tax straight away. So about 2.8%. Still decent I suppose, considering.0

38K?
3 x Llloyds Vantage = 15K, or 18K if you were there for the 4% deal
3 x BoS Vantage = 15K
1 x Santander = 20K
So 50K at least. And unless you need to spend the money anytime soon, having more than 50K in cash might not be too sensible.
I haven't tried it, but I would think you can have more than 1 123. Nothing in the T&Cs that says you can't - - though they might have some 'policy' that doesn't allow it. I could easily split my cashback-earning DDs over 3 123s, to stay over the £2/mth charge. Though I do admit, it would become a bit tedious, lol. And as you say, 2.8% would still be quite decent atm.0 -
You can have multiple 123 accounts but must meet all the T&Cs0

Ah yes, forgot about the BoS vantage.
I do have more than 50K in cash, I really should find somewhere else for it. I don't really need it.0
