EON SAID TO ME THIS Monday morning that they are bringing out tomorrow a new online plan to compete(Saveonline 12), now that the Eon Fixed Online 9 is finishing
So check Tuesday to see if they are true to their word

Tuesday: Offered me an old plan "saveonline 9" fixed for 12 months

Gas unit rates: 6.859p per kWh & 2.969p per kWh above 2680 kWh p.a.

Electricity unit rates: 20.700p per kWh & 9.700p per kWh above 900 kWh p.a.
8% discount also but no discount on final bill

But better than the competition-I took it

Just looked and SaveOnline 11 is now replaced with SaveOnline 12 ... and looks to me is if prices have gone UP.

    From Uswitch SO11 was
    Gas
7.716p per kWh (7.349p excl. VAT)
3.357p per kWh (3.197p excl. VAT) above 2680 kWh p.a.
    Electricity
22.806p per kWh (21.720p excl. VAT)
11.476p per kWh (10.930p excl. VAT) above 900 kWh p.a.

    From Eon website SO12 is
    Gas
Normal units up to 2680 kWhs per year
    8.23 pence
    Normal units
    3.581 pence per kWh
    Electricity
Normal units up to 900 kWhs per year
    24.119 pence
    Normal units
    12.138 pence per kWh

Looks like a 6% price hike.

    I EXCEPTED THEIR MORNING QUOTE
Save Online v9 – guarantees to be at least 2% cheaper than our standard price for 12 months – it is an 12 month contract and there is a £30 cancellation charge if you leave E.ON in the first 12 months.
    The prices are as follows:
Electric – for the first 225 kwhs per quarter 20.700p and for the rest is 9.700p
Gas - for the first 670 kwhs per quarter 6.589p and for the rest 2.969p

You will also receive an 8% direct debit duel discount.

I checked the saveonline 11 prices last week and from what I can see they have gone down

    8.402 pence
    Normal units
    3.665 pence per kWh
    Electricity
Normal units up to 900 kWhs per year
    24.182 pence
    Normal units
    11.729 pence per kWh

    SO 12

    Gas
Normal units up to 2680 kWhs per year
    8.23 pence
    Normal units
    3.581 pence per kWh
    Electricity
Normal units up to 900 kWhs per year
    23.688 pence
    Normal units
    11.592 pence per kWh

Maybe it has something to do with what area you are in, I have no idea tbh

Hiya mate, speant a good deal of time on the phone to EON, the Saveonline V9 is not something they can offer, they cant even put it onto theis systems? Dont get me wrong, im not saying you are giving false information just you may have either been given wrong information or misunderstood? I would love to see some confirmation of your Saveonline v9 deal ( PM me if easier ) so I can go to EON and ask for the same.

According to the 3 guys I spoke too, the best deal around is the Saveonline V12. - I dunno If Malc ( E ON ) could care to comment on this?

    Cheers :)

If paleontology is on the cards, I would like to be on FixOnline 8 again. They can call it FixOnline 10, I don't mind.

    Hi pablo

Saveonline 9 was withdrawn from sale on 20 September 2011.

The agents you spoke to were quite right about it not being on their systems. It's certainly not on mine.

To be honest, I don't know how the agent managed to switch stluke023 to this product. This is highly irregular.

Sorry can't offer anything more positive pablo but the agents you spoke to were correct and Saveonline 9 is no longer available.

  • Thanks for the above Malc. I see EON have just released this new deal which looks good. It appears to have no exit fee either... Could you confirm this?
