For the person asking about stamping polishes, I use the MoYou and MoYou London ones. Best prices are Nail Polish Direct online or Amazon. MoYou London do a much nicer range of colours and more up to date fashion colours but they are a lot more money for a smaller bottle. For your basic black and white I stick to MoYou.

I don't have a nail polish addiction so I am not really joining in. I have quite a lot of bottles, but I don't put it on my nails. I buy it at car boot sales for a few pennies, it comes in very handy for arts and crafts projects. For decorating small objects like stones or metal. I love the crazy colours, and the glittery ones. ;)

  • I do love nail polish, but I'm having nail fungus. So I cannot use it anymore. I heard that nail polish can prevent moisture in the nail bed from evaporating through the nail. This can prevent your nail from "breathing" and encourage fungal growth.

Nailsinc website has thousand of nail polishes. You only need to spend £15 to get free postage

I used to go to a shop called Beautyoutlet, it is in a shopping village in north Devon. I think they have other branches and a website as well.

I get loads of bargains from TKMaxx. It's a bit potluck but our local branch often has O.P.I and Nails Inc. I got a lovely O.P.I gift set recently for £7, it had some of their base coat and supershiny top coat. I've had lots of China Glaze treatment and top/base coats as well.

Another thought. Have a look at QVC. They sell lots of sets and they have a reduced section where you can often pick up bargains.

Does it have to be these 2 brands? I've found China Glaze, Essie and especially Leighton Denny to be very good. The latter has amazing colours.

A great on line retailer is Nail Polish Direct, if you know the colours you want, easy to use and very quick delivery. No affiliation, just a happy repeat customer for polishes and treatments.

ETA very good price point too, i.e. OPI Nutcracker Collection £8.95 each

I'm nail polish addict, gel, stamps, crystals all sorts. Recently switch to gel, I wear 10 free and vegan polishes in between gels. When I gel, i go to town with crystals! :)

I agree, Nail Polish Direct is fair value and you can get Topcashback as well! For all over accessories like foil stripes, decorations and other accessories, I order them from Aliexpress usually from Born Pretty.

There's also Beauty Olympia (Birmingham, Manchester, London) each year where I stock up varnishes, Swarovski crystals, supplies, lashes – I go to the London, the biggest one. They sell them at trade prices, all the top brands will be there like OPI, Essie, CND, Gelish, China Glaze, Cuccio, Dermalogica, Benefit, MoYo London, Kiara Sky, NYX and Inglot!
  • Ooh nail thread.
    I have approximately 200 polishes.
My most purchased brands are in order:
    OPI

    China glaze
Barry M-though I haven't bought many of these in the last couple of years.

    A England
    Zoya
I do have other brands as well.
I am not keen on gel-mine went funny in the end and I threw them out. My regular polish seems to last as long as Gel and I can't stand long regrowths so I'm happy.

I have filled my bedside drawers so I'm trying to be careful about buying similar colours for the sake of it. I have four bottles for Christmas though. I need to make sure that I wear polish more often. I have blessed myself with such an array of colour and it would be silly to let them go off.

I use nail polish direct too.
I have recently used rainbow connection to get hold of those amazing indie polishes.

Sadly this thread became rather quiet, but it is great to see some polishaholics appear.

My own nails are in an awful state, due mainly to health issues, they have been de-laminating and looked and felt awful (tender and sore).

On line research threw up a treatment IBX treatment. Although I live in a really rural area I was delighted to find a salon in my town that offers it. I was doing really well with it, but RL got in the way of salon visits for several weeks so back to square 1. Keeping nails bare as much as possible so extra oil treatments several times a day can work their wonders. Intending putting on a deep pink glitter for tomorrow though - Mavala Pink Cosmic:D:D
