Very annoying. I buy expensive polishes all the time, and they all chip or peel. I stuck a £2.69 Rimmel job on so quickly the other night, dark colour too which is prone to looking awful on me after a days wear and it still looks amazing, after 4 days and no chips!

    Saw this on facebook earlier:

People are commenting that it was made by putting nail polish onto makeup sponges and then dabbing the nail, anyone tried it?

Yes, they're called gradient nails. I've tried it a few times, very easy to do. Loads of tutorials on youtube.

They do look gorgeous, will have to try that. I picked up a lovely Colour Club blossom set in TKMaxx for £4.99 it has Blushing Rose , Blue-ming(which is green) Lavendarling & Diamond Drops (a fab sparkly silver glitter) which I am just desperate to try, going to dig out a black polish I have to really do it justice.

I've not tried any fimo before but I've seen some lovely 'cocktail' nails using the fruit slices so I'm going to try and emulate those.

Wow those look great! I've just dug out a cheap set of diamantes that I bought ages ago to try... I've no special tools to fix them on with though so this could be interesting lol.

I've decided I need to cut down my collection (drastically! :rotfl:) so i'm going to sell a load of polishes. Would anyone be interested if I posted them on the FB group before ebaying? I've got quite a variety of brands including nails inc, opi, models own, rimmel, barry m, 17, no 7 and loads of others etc as well as some from random ones from ninjapolish. And lots of glitters.

Just wondering if it's worth taking pics and posting them on the group before I try and ebay them?

One tip I picked up recently for gradient nails is to add your topcoat as soon as you've finished dabbing, it helps to blend the colours better.

I got some fimo flowers recently, not tried them yet.
