I've jumped the gun a bit this week. I've done my black & white nails a couple of days early as I've got some Union Jack nail wraps lined up for this weekend and I'm planning to keep those on until the Olympics are over. This nail challenge has been great for me, I'm trying colours/combos I'd never normally try. This is Barry M black stamped with the Konad special white polish. Black & white wouldn't usually be my choice, plus I didn't think the white would be opaque enough to cover the black properly. Thought I'd end up with grey flowers but I was pleasantly surprised. Like this one :)

I quite like those! I bit the bullet and got a mini in white konad just for stamping as I couldn't get a nice crisp white look with what else I had. Glad I have, used it a few times now.

Right, sons GF works next door to a huge Superdrug in the city center so she's promised me she will stalk the store daily for me :)

I just treated myself to the Spiderman OPI mini's, been a rotten week with OH being really sick so I've been running around all week, this is my reward hehe

Bless my OH. He spent his lunch hour travelling all round London superdrugs trying to find the Holo. He's left his number with so many women he's lost count (shop assistants I hasten to add. lol).

Do you think he's after something????

My local one had a delivery today so will pop in tomorrow to see if its there.

What have you ladies done to me. I haven't been this obsessed about something for a long time!!!
  • I need advice! (again!)

Just done my first attempt at Union Jack nails - not great, although they do look worse in the photo I think! I want to keep them till the Olympics has finished which will mean re-doing them in a few days so I wondered if anyone could give me any tips to do them better next time? (pre clean up, it's late, I'll do it tomorrow morning!!)

Lady S, where can you get that plate? I have the Konad one, but it's just tiny paw prints, I'd like a repeating pattern (that actually works as a stamping plate!)

Thanks for that! The tutorials I watched on youtube all did the blue first, so I never thought to do the white first. I guess a lot of it is also down to a steady hand and practice.... as usual! Oh well, mine don't look too bad from a distance and I'll have another go in a day or two!

Edit: Need to buy a nail art brush.... don't have one of those!

I can only find their own new Lealac plates at Llarowe and Ninja are out of stock of DRK-A :(

If anyone finds them elsewhere can you tell me as I'd love a stamp with all-over patterns big enough for my thumbs.
