  • I tried 2 Superdrugs, it took 4 20 min bus journeys to do and I was left very disappointed. One didn't have any space on the GOSH stand and didn't have any of the limited edition style polishes in stock at all, I asked a sales assistant and she said they had loads of people asking about it today but there was none in today's delivery, they might have some in tomorrow. In store number 2 they had updated the shelve and there was a nice little space labelled "549"! I asked a sales assistant there who told me they are waiting for it to arrive and they think it will probably be on Friday. However, there is only room on the stand for 3 polishes at a time and as GOSH is on 3 for 2 , you can guarantee the first person there gets the lot. I don't understand why they put so much time and effort into the re-launch including press / blogger events etc. and then they don't deliver. If they don't have the stock levels to meet demand, the profits will go to eBay sellers and not to GOSH. Has anyone else noticed the lack of the choice of nail lacquers on Superdrug's website? I think now would be a good time for GOSH to launch their own UK retail website and take care of their own brand. Rant over LOL :-)

Does anyone know how long the holo is out for. Also does anyone have a link to the press release. Depending on how we all get on I'm thinking about
doing an email to superdrug to say how disappointed I am at the way this has been dealt with!! lol
  • I would actually email GOSH since it is their brand being damaged by the only UK carrier of their stock. If everything was in stock as and when its supposed to be, they would be making way more sales. The thing with Superdrug is that since they carry so many other brands it doesn't make any difference to them anyway.

On the bottle it does say special edition but people are saying it will be part of the permanent line so who knows? lol

In other news, have you seen the price of OPI black spotted on eBay? I have seen one sell for £10.50 plus £2.50 postage.... in Sephora, even if postage was free (which it isn't!) it would cost around £11 per bottle, that's making a loss straight away before you even consider the fees charged by eBay / Paypal! Could they be fakes?

Bizarrely I managed to find a gosh holo in my local superdrug on Saturday in the reduced section for £2! Yet it's not been out on display for months, I'd have bought it at full price if it had been! I take it the formula on the new ones will be the same? I absolutely love it but it chips so easily!

    Ladies, I need some advice.

I have been lurking n this thread forever. I have never been remotely 'girly' and have gone from being curious as to why people were so obsessed with painting their nails, through 'I suppose it looks quite nice', and I am now on 'I wanna do it too!'.

So, for the first time in my life I am now the proud owner of nail files, polish, remover and hand cream, however I seem to be doing more harm than good and am starting to think that I will never be able to do anything 'girly'. :(

I'm using a Sally Hanson nail varnish remover as I assumed it wouldn't be too harsh, but my nails are getting a white, dry look to them and a couple have started to peel. I cannot do anything to my cuticals, just the thought makes me feel like heaving and, when I tried to push them back, it went right through me! I obviously have issues there! As for painting my nails - it looks like a 4yo let loose with her mums make-up! Even though I have watched many videos on You Tube, I am still getting deep brush strokes and when I paint my right hand I just get the stuff everywhere! Lovely, smooth lines following my cuticals are the stuff of dreams!

Please can someone give me some simple ideas of things to try and maybe have some ideas of what on earth I am doing wrong? This looked like it could be fun but I am starting to wonder if I should just give up?

    Thanks :)

Hello :) For the white, peely nails, ensure when you use you hand cream you're massaging it into your nails too. Try not to use polish remover every day is it's very drying!

As to painting...practise, practise, practise I'm afraid. It does take a little while!

    Good luck :)
