  • Yay, it's always nice getting something for free! Ciate upset a lot of bloggers with their Caviar so they're probably desperate for some good publicity.

I've taken my yellow off now. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked it but there's only so much pastel I can stomach. This is much more me, Leighton Denny Your Planet Or Mine...

    That colour is gorgeous starrystarry.

Naughty lena white have sent me an email with a new set of OPI minis and I only own one of the colours!

What was this about MulberryPeony? I'm tempted to get one of these manicures done at the Trafford Centre though I want a pedicure if they do them.

  • They sent out a load of 'remove your posts or we're going to sue you' type emails/letters about DIY Caviar manicures to some nail bloggers. Considering Ciate didn't come up with the idea in the first place it left a nasty taste in a lot of peoples mouths.

Hello, I've been lurking and admiring all your lovely nails. I've recently started polishing my nails regularly, thanks in part to reading about seche vite on here, it really is a miracle.

I have a problem I hope you all might be able to provide some insight into and advice on. I sometimes find that as opposed to just chipping my whole nail's polish comes off in one, like a big nail shaped polish transfer. This even happened when I had a coat of OPI pirouette my whistle on, the entire thing came off including the hex glitter, yet when I actually wanted to remove the colour the hex glitter stayed stubbornly in place! Could the seche vite be causing this? What am I doing wrong?

Crikey, I've never heard of that happening. Hopefully someone will come along that knows what causes it. You're not using Seche Vite as a base coat as well are you?

Welcome to the thread by the way :)

Thanks. No I'm not using the seche vite as a base coat, I'm not using a pupose made base coat either, just clear varnish.

Sorry have no idea about the peeling but to remove the glitter use the tinfoil method linked in post no: 52 (I would try and link it for you but have no idea how).

    It works brillantly.

I have the whole nail peeling thing going on. I use seche base coat, but think it can be when I use too much top coat.

But it also hAppens when I swim. I dunno, good excuse to paint your nails!
