Thank you
As long as you don't tell my clients...I get mine from scattercrystals - they have lots of different sizes. I get the xilion cut because I find that it's even sparklier than the other cuts and for full nail coverage, I recommend size s9/s10. If you just want to place one jewel as an accent, then I'd go for s5/s6. My favourite are the AB ones - it gives an extra little sparkle. My particular ones are Crystal AB.
If you don't want to bother getting the actualy swarovski crystals, you can always pick up little packs of diamantes in Sallys.
As for how to stick them, I set them in my shellac top coat and then cure it. But you can prepare your nails by base/colour/top coating and then either use a brush on resin or a nail glue - a slightly thicker one is perfect. Just place a layer of glue on your nail - it's better if it's slightly thicker because you can press the jewels in and the glue will pool around the thicker base and anchor it on nicely. You can then topcoat for extra protection, I do find that it VERY slightly dulls the shine.
Lol, it's so much fun isn't it!0 -

Hey everyone.
The weather is atrocious here today and it's Olympic Torch Relay day, so about to get soaked in a whole going to try and see the torch.
Anyway back to nals. I went to town this morning and popped into pound land and the only polishes they had were 'chit chat' ones in glitter colours that looked very similar to technic. So I picked up carnival, they also had mermaid and copper bu was trying to be good...... Until I went no Boots and came out of there with Models Own Indian ocean and mystic mauve. When I was paying at the till the SA was telling me how much she loves Indian ocean and might go and get herself one at lunch. I didn't have the heart to tell her that I'd just picked the last one off the shelves, ha! :rotfl:I :heart2: saving money0 -

I'd been told that Poundland were selling the nail polish remover pots with the sponge where you just poke in your finger and pull it out but couldnt find any in my local.
OH went into town in his lunch yesterday just to go to poundland, so if you were in Coventry Poundland yesterday and saw a very smart looking bloke in a suit reading out the colour and brand of every nail polish and accessory on the shelf then that was my very lovely (patient!) husband :rotfl:
(and no, they didn't have the remover! bah!)0 -
Ha ha pulliptears you are very lucky, my hubby would never go anywhere to by me polish especially pound land as he detests it. He's not moaning though when I make him a brew with the typhoo tea bags I buy from there
I never saw the polish remover, heard good things about those pots but not yet tried one.
So I've also been impatient and out a coat of Indian ocean on, it's lush! I was wearing Nails Inc Pall Mall anyway so indian ocean looks quite nice over it.I :heart2: saving money0 -
why would anyone want ducks feet as nails yuk but the nail art on some of them were really good.0
