Hello everyone,
I'm new here, and maybe not a complete addict - I was in remission, at least, until I noticed this thread! It took me some time to read through it... Thank you all for the inspiration, pics and blogs you've posted here. I'm especially taken by the holo polishes, and am planning a huge order from Brazil at some point. That is, unless I spend all the money I'm saving for it on locally available stuff!
Thanks to Pulliptears I have now got some bottles from the Cosmetics Fairy:
Sorry for the quality, my phone cam is scratched!Cogito, ergo sum.0 -
Thats a nice haul Jei70!
I've had DD at home for 2 days with a virus, she likes my spotty nails so to cheer her up I did them for her, but with a cherry on top:0 -

Question ladies! I'm putting wraps on my nails later to match my dress that I'm wearing for a wedding tomorrow. Does anyone else use these?
Do you put a base coat on first or just leave it and put the wrap straight on?0 -

Hello ladies- frequent lurker and fellow addict here.
Just a few questions about nail care really:
Do you let your nails have a "rest day" where you do nothing with them occasionally? My mom always said I should but I don't know whether that was because she didn't like my nail varnish.
and...
can you oil your cuticles too much?

From one lurker to another, no your nails don't need a break, they don't need to breathe and, in fact, are better protected with a continuous coating over them.
Secondly, NO! It's a nightmare to get some people to oil their nails once a day in the first place! You see, the nails are made up of so many different interlocking layers and between these layers are little pockets of water and oil; daily washing can strip these oils and make your nails brittle, so it's important to keep them topped up. Keep up the good work!

I'm wearing a crystal pedicure and, OMG, it's so sparkly and prettyI can post a pic later if anyone wants to see.
I have nothing on my fingers at present. I have a party on Friday and I don't know what I fancy on :think:0 -

Nope I don't have rest days I always have something on. I don't oil my nails enough really. Once in the morning and again in the evening and that's it!0 -

They're great for £1. A little thick and the brush is too square but I'll buy them when they're reduced :rotfl:
