While I'm about it, how should I do her nails for her prom?
She's wearing a deep red/wine *gorgeous* dress with black accessories. And leaving her nails to me *no pressure*
Her nails are short but not bitten, if that makes sense.
What about something like this? (Linked because it's huuuuuuuuuge!)

But with a black glitter instead to match her accessories? It would make her nails look a little less short than a solid black would and a gradient always looks fancy!:j0 -

I put this on over 2 coats of Nails Inc in Tower Bridge (very dark purple, almost black in certain lights). Now I'm not too sure of this, what light colours would SH Hidden Treasure look good over?
I've not tidied up around my cuticles yet, sorry.
I've now got several flakie top coats and, to be honest, I'm not mad keen on any of them over pale colours. They seem to mesh in with the dark ones better to my eyes - on all the pale colours I've tried they seem to stand out as an odd addition.
If someone else has a succesful pale combo I'd love to see.0 -
Thanks for the prom ideas! Time to practice0

Your nails don't need to "breathe", they can't "breathe", mine haven't "breathed" for years.Ditto! Mine have had glitter on for about 3 weeks and it shows no signs of budging, chipping, remover doesn't take it off, nothing... I'm starting to think i'm going to have to grow it out :rotfl:Booo!!!0 -

Have you tried the tinfoil method, linked to in the first post, originally shared by elsiebutts, works like a breeze, although when I tried it on my fingernails on Fri evening I swear my fingertips started to pulse????
Yep, even with the foil method it wasn't for budging. All the colour came off but the glitter steadfastly refused to go. Got there eventually but I'm not doing that again.0 -
