She's wearing a deep red/wine *gorgeous* dress with black accessories. And leaving her nails to me *no pressure*
Her nails are short but not bitten, if that makes sense.
You could go for a deep red but if her nails are very short I'd probably just go for a neutral shade. Or is that not the done thing at proms? Do they need to be spectacular?0 -

I finally got to try my SH Hidden Treasure on my nails (the clear top on the striping tape was lifting from my last mani). I put this on over 2 coats of Nails Inc in Tower Bridge (very dark purple, almost black in certain lights). Now I'm not too sure of this, what light colours would SH Hidden Treasure look good over?
I've not tidied up around my cuticles yet, sorry.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J0 -
I've not got Hidden Treasure but I do have Nubar 2010 which is almost identical. That works over every colour I've tried it with so far. I've got Tower Bridge but I've not tried it with that yet. How many coats did you put on? I find less is more with these flakies, I prefer a single thin coat so there's just a flash of colour when it hits the light, rather than it swamping the base colour.0

what about a deep red with either one sparkly black stripe done along the length of the nail or diagonally or deep red with 2 diagonal black lines done with striping tape?CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. I used a base coat then 2 thin coats of tower bridge. One coat wasn't enough as the colour was quite patchy and not even then one coat of hidden treasure. Wondering if HT would look good over white or pale pink?CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. What about a dark red/black colour? Something similar to Chanel's Rouge Noir. I like almost black colours with red clothes and I think they can look really nice on short nails.0
