    Technic Mermaid?

    Those that have or have seen irl Mermaid, how would you describe the colour please? I have Revlon Radiant, which one blogger describes as Chlorine Blue, I found quite a lot of Technic polishes yesterday in a nearby town, but no sign of Mermaid.

    I'm guessing you have all come across Born Pretty before?

    http://www.bornprettystore.com/

    My nail plates I ordered last week came today, they seem to be absolute copies of the Konad ones even to the numbers. I ordered M64 and M69 just to try. Incredibly impressed. So much so I've ordered a couple more.

    $2.32 a template with free shipping on top you cant really go wrong!

    Thank you :)

    As long as you don't tell my clients... ;):p I get mine from scattercrystals - they have lots of different sizes. I get the xilion cut because I find that it's even sparklier than the other cuts and for full nail coverage, I recommend size s9/s10. If you just want to place one jewel as an accent, then I'd go for s5/s6. My favourite are the AB ones - it gives an extra little sparkle. My particular ones are Crystal AB.

    If you don't want to bother getting the actualy swarovski crystals, you can always pick up little packs of diamantes in Sallys.

    As for how to stick them, I set them in my shellac top coat and then cure it. But you can prepare your nails by base/colour/top coating and then either use a brush on resin or a nail glue - a slightly thicker one is perfect. Just place a layer of glue on your nail - it's better if it's slightly thicker because you can press the jewels in and the glue will pool around the thicker base and anchor it on nicely. You can then topcoat for extra protection, I do find that it VERY slightly dulls the shine.

    Lol, it's so much fun isn't it! :D

    yep it really is fun ... i'm night shift this weekend so will be taking my stamps to work and having fun with it all

    have ordered some of those jewels as well as i used to wear a swarofski (sp) crystal on my teeth and really loved it ... no longer wear them on my teeth as it costs too much to get one put on ( wonder if i could use one of the ones i have ordered ? and how i would stick it on my tooth ? )

    i fancy trying marbling as well soon but am not sure what colours are best to try for marbling and which ones ... i was wondering if china glaze in neon colours would be good? anyone got an opinion ?

    i think i may be addicted ... yikes :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
