haha - decided not to bother in the end. the Catherine Arley holo I ordered from ebay FINALLY arrived on monday - not great in normal light but looks lovely in sunlight. shame it's started raining now :)

Which one did you get in the end? I have 667. It's a lovely lightly shimmery grey colour on it's on merit but in the sunlight it lightens up to a subtle holo. It's very pretty, I'd prefer the not-so-subtle holo but I'm pretty sure there will be more and more coming on the market, especially as the really good cult ones command such big money on ebay.

    I'd go with this :D:D

    Or this:

DD is desperate for me to try that splatter one. Apparently easy as you just dip a straw in polish then blow over the nail.

    *Disclaimer
    Not really serious suggestions ;)

snap - I went for 667 too! I'd definitely prefer something a bit less subtle as well but I'm not prepared to pay ebay prices for one of the cult classics. One day, there will be a a worthy successor to gosh holo :)

I love Glittergal, especially the blue http://copythatcopycat.blogspot.co.uk/2011/12/glitter-gal-swatches.html

The only thing (apart from the price) that stops me from buying them is they're only 9ml sized bottles.

I love Color Club polishes, there's one left http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Color-Club-Worth-Risque-Silver-Holographic-Nail-Polish-Brand-New-/270983399122?pt=UK_Health_Beauty_Nails_Manicure_Pedicure_CA&hash=item3f17de86d2#ht_500wt_1236

I don't know how good the holo would be but if it's anything like their other products that I have, it would be a good blind purchase :)

now, dont die of shock ladies but I have actually painted my own nails. I was bored, DD wont let me take off her jubilee nails to play on her so I've done my own... May try and take a pic in a bit.

This is genuinely the first time Ive had painted nails in about 20 years lol

    **edit**

    taadaaa

(this will be taken off before bedtime I suspect)

I like that a LOT! What did you use? The colours go really well together.

I used the rimmel perfect plum I got in the market bonanza with some old glitter stuff I found in the nail box. Also borrowed heavily from the gorgeous blue nails with silver strips posted a few pages back :D
