I think you might be right about the heat. I thought sitting in the garden for 10 minutes would bake it but tbh it just made it really goopy and melty :(

Ahh I'd moan about the weather but I just can't because it's sooo gorgeous atm

I've been known to put my hairdryer on it's 'cool' heat setting (which for mine at least means virtually no heat at all) and 'high' power setting and wave it over my nails for a minute or so to dry them. I don't know whether this actually does make drying nails any quicker (it seems to) or whether it's just psychological, but it can't be any different to those nail polish dryers I've seen being sold that are just a gadget that emits air for you to stick your hand into and are yet another way of cluttering up the happy home :)

I don't think it's that holo at all really - it's not glitter, it looks kind of like a grey polish but with a bit of a 'sheen'. However, it was only £1.99 so I'm not moaning :)

Gosh Holographic looks a lot like that in the bottle, but it can look amazing on nails in most lights. I do find that it just looks a bit bluish grey in some lights though, and makes me look like a heart failure victim :)

I stick my hands in cold water for a bit and that speeds it up & it cools me down :)

My beautician told me that she did this on herself when in a hurry, run tap very cold into sink and keep hands in for a few minutes, then shake them dry.

Thanks for the pics Toomuchdebt. I predict your stash will double in a couple of months if you keep following this thread ;)

I added an accent nail last night as I was a bit bored of Revlon Rock but didn't have time to completely re-do.

  • I'm very excited. I'm going to buy a helmer from Ikea tomorrow!!! Its a special trip as ikea is an hour away, however I will pop into other shops whilst I'm there!

I'm really looking forward to sorting my polishes out and then hopefully I'll be able to stick a few that didn't suit me onto the swapsies FB page!!

Only thing that worries me is where will I put it....... polishes in front of a radiator isn't a good thing is it?!!! Time to rearrange the room again I suspect!!

can anyone recommend a good box to keep all my polishes in ? i currently use an o.p.i box, it is great has loads of wee compartments for the polish and opens out in the bottom for nail files, remover, wipes etc ... that one is now full so i ordered a new one ( qvc) it arrived today but was way way way too small ... i now have more things i want to keep in them so i need a bigger compartment in the bottom and enough space for a good amount of polishes ... cant think of anywhere that might stock such a thing though
