aha bit of perseverance with google and I've found it again

This is what I had seen before.

This is a slightly different take on it - painting directly onto the bag.

and another with the second method

I've just remembered that I didn't find the link through the forum, I found it while Googling to see if anyone had tried an idea that I came up with but haven't found time to experiment with yet.

Nobody else seems to have tried it yet either, but it occurs to me that it might be possible to paint a marbled design on the head of a rubber Konad stamper instead of a plastic bag, and then instead of waiting for it to dry, just transfer it over to your nail as if you were stamping it. It also occurs to me that if this works, it should be possible to paint a gradient on a stamper too, instead of painting it on to a sponge as some people do.

I might try it tonight if I get time. In the meantime, someone else might like to have a go.

It's a crazy idea, but it might just work. I think Batman said that, and I bet we've all got better tights than him :)

That sounds like a great idea Ida, let us know how you get on.

I've just traipsed to Bodycare (no Carnival, no Mermaid) and Poundland (nothing even remotely interesting). V disappointed.

I'm after some of those craft scissors as well. Some quite good sets on ebay when I had a look.

Not yet. I find these things take a few weeks sometimes though.

Me neither. I hope it comes soon and its a colour I like. I'll probably like every colour though :rotfl:

Called into Bodycare on the way home from work on the off-chance and managed to pick up Carnival, Mermaid and the holographic polish - it looked like they'd only just restocked so hopefully yours will be next!

Had my nails inc treatment pack 3 from Debenhams come through today.

Seems to be really nice, the buffer is amazing.

I did my toe nails tonight with my OPI Nicki Minaj fly which is like a blue teal colour, I still have a very wobbly hand so practice makes perfect I guess. :)

Will take a photo of my collection soon

Are they the ziggy zaggy ones? Ikea had some in the kids section - got a pair last week :)

Is the holographic a proper linear holo or just holo glitter in a clear base? Trying to work out if it's worth me driving 15 miles out of my way to go to a bodycare on the offchance that they have it :D
