oooh, that's solved the problem of my second manky apple tree. The only DIY Mr TM has done is to convert a brick outhouse into a bar (fully stocked, anyone care to join me?) and right outside is the old tree. Therefore I propose chopping it down and turning it into a bar table - the trunk's about 5" diameter.:D
We have a portable bar-be-que so we can wheel that near the bar, so no-one has to move very far. (Sounds like the summer parties are on us then - bring a bottle:beer: )0 -

Leave the tree and rig up a flying fox from the tree to the slabbed patio via the barbecue finishing up at the bar for :beer:0

There's now a fully fledged bar in Judi's garden, a 'brick outhouse' has been changed into one in Ticklemouse's garden
We've all got ideas how to kill the other halfmake a shortcut from a patio to a bar ...
But how's this tree going to meet it's maker?
(I'd say back as a bird table or whatever but I'm so off topic now I'm nearly next door  )

Have a glass of my home made apple wine, its got the moth in it, so it tastes a bit manky - and looks awful, but hey its alcoholic, and its free!!!Sofa_Sogood wrote::eek:
