I think so too.
It beats my 'beer garden effect' suggestion
How to keep the birds away from the rest of the fruit though?
Make a scarecrow with what's cut down?0 -

actually yours was a good idea but with it only being 3" in diameter ,best make it for the kids, not sure how it will take the strain of adults.:D
oh yeah birds and fruit ,I guess not such a good idea for this garden then ............but maybe for others
I'd love one but I've got cats:rolleyes:0 -

But you could nail a 5" disc of wood to it, then nail a 10" to that ad infinitum, etc etc
I'd love a garden that was big enough for any sort of tree
I think the bird's table was the best so far0 -

It's this site :money:
But I look do look more at space saving resources
In fact, Judi could get a license and open it up as a real beer garden
Sorry, I'm off topic0 -
You could always nail a round wooden block to it, and put some stools under it
I could always keep them and use the apples as missiles and catapult them to ward off the local moggies in the summer. My father in law built me a bird table to screw into the stump and it looks lovely
Bad idea, unless i want to have loads of dead birds in my garden. In fact, Judi could get a license and open it up as a real beer garden
Well that would go well with the barbecue he is planning on building as soon as it gets a bit warmer, however, the barbecue and the 'bar' would be in opposite ends of the garden.
More suggestions please, i dont know what direction the threads going, but as long as its clean i dont really mind. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Right lol. Use those freebie cd's that are free with some newspapers (but people sell them on eBay (huh?) to scare the birds away. Not as frisbee bird killers by the way
Judi? I don't think your problem's how to kill the tree.
It's the distance between the bar and barbeque
Rope tree?0 -
