  • :D Ixia - yes, I've been, trying to work out when...think it was 1997 or 1998....good holiday though our hotel was a little lacking in stars I think!

http://gonyc.about.com/cs/airlinesairports/a/getto_jfk.htm is a webpage showing nyc transport - by the way I was referring to JFK to Manhattan...not sure if you're same airport...

Reading it, I think we must have used the New York Airport Service Express Bus or Super Shuttle: I suspect the latter...it was 2001, so can't be more specific, sorry.

New York shuttle bus from Newark also from JFK , there are several routes but you can get to most places easy even with 3 large suitcases between 2!
You are righ it is fixed price FROM airports to city, but the problem is coming home no taxis will do city to airport as too little payment for them. So make sure you book!
This was October last year so reasonably uptodate

    Good Morning all

Looking gorgeous here, quite a bit of snow but beautiful clear skies, feel so much brighter today and more motivated. We were all awake very early this morning (all full of cold too) and had cups of tea in bed followed by fashion show - little one and other half went through their wardrobes and had a good sort out - wardrobes can now breathe :rotfl:

Today's little list (very repititive but helping at the moment)

    Check Banks - Done
    Check Swapits - Done
Keep up to date with surveys - Done
Keep on top of emails - Done
Update food tracker (22lb off up to now since Sept) - in progress
Read ("The Model Wife") - in progress
    Quick tidy round - Done
Lots of filing/shredding (mums & mine) - Done
    20 mins on Yantra mat
Plan meals around OH's new shifts which start NEXT WEEK (found out yesterday!!)
    Declutter - WIP

Hope you all have a great weekend, catch you all later, love you all

    C x

A great day - managed to watch a couple of DVD's (we already had), spend quality time with hubby and little one, quite a bit of tidying and de-cluttering both at home and at mums too.

Tomorrow is the first day of other half's shifts (he's on 2-10 this week) and little one is still really upset (which surprises me and upsets me too), thinks we just need to get into a routine
