Hello all!
Well, the snow is gonna hit us early afternoon, so today has been a bit of a spendy. But last two days were NSD so thats ok.
We've bought enough to last us over the weekend, so no unecessary trips out, until shopping order comes next week...including a reduced big joint of beef at Mr S, so thats a bonus. Hoping to be snowed in for at least a day or two - we live on a hill, and our drive is a hill too, so we have to sledge everywhere when the snow comes (yaaaaaaayyy!).
Going to whiz DS to swimming, and then hopefully home before the flakes to snuggle up with hot choc, and watch the fun begin....It's really unusual here to be a) a weekend and b)snow due in middle of day and whole family doesnt need to be anywhere for at least 24 hours.
Is it too much to hope for a snow day off work on Monday?
Tho long range shows snow on Thurs too, which I could do without as I have a course in Bham and a train ticket booked and I really really want to go!!
hehe.
Anyone got the snow from today yet?
My list:
get home before snow
cook cake for lady at work/flapjack for family snacks
sort ironing (oh joy)
take books back to library - tick
buy food to last weekend and make monday leftovers tea - tick
see if topcashback money paid
see if balance transfer finally sorted (its been 5 days, come on!)
bag up lose change in house
right, swimming time.....2012 - DFW! taking positive steps forward, and it's only [STRIKE]January![/STRIKE] February :T

Hi all
tizchris- check out the old style board and perhaps the groceries challenge.its my weakness so I don't feel I can offer sensible advice!! :rotfl:
niksyg..so impressed by all that game...and I love pheasant. In fact still have one in the freezer...maybe that's the roast for dinner tomorrow?
Today is a slow day. Didn't take kids swimming as everyone too happy snuggled up in bed. Freezing here and have to venture out to take DDs for haircuts in about 20 mins..but that's it's for spends today so not bad. Had a lunch of LOs this morning..yummy. Will do HM choccie biscuits later too and make some HM bread for kids sarnies.
Enjoying listening to music on radio and clearing out front room ready for painting. Oh joy! House will be upside down for about a fortnight but am sure it'll be worth it.
Made a PAD and checked banking.
Think that's it, have a great weekend everyone and keep warm!!MFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

Evening all,
Thanks for starting us Lost & Nervous, I am envious of your fleabay listing! I can't be bothered with it at the moment after someone has refused to pay for a £13.59 item  Possibly got another non buyer for a 99p item too *sighs*
La escocesa - I'd love a Pinecone referral, but last time I got one they refused to accept me anyway
Is it worth trying again?
DNMS - I hope the viewings went ok today! & that you have some lovely quality time with your OH. Good luck "stoozing"
Stitchy - Hehe your fleece for the chicken sounds adorable! Can we have a pic please? Hope you made it into the sewing room.
Today I have/will:-- [STRIKE]Made a homemade juice[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Food from stores[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Log calories using free app[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Charge phone via pc[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Check for surveys[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Enter comps[/STRIKE]
- Check online banking
- [STRIKE]Try & keep the heating on low[/STRIKE]
- Work on wedding related tasks
- Take a look at diary to ensure I am up to date & prepared for everything coming
- [STRIKE]Check ebay, closed an open item case & unfortunately had to leave "positive" feedback with a negative statement as eBay refuses to let you leave negative feedback these days![/STRIKE]
- Try & get at least 5 items ready for listing on Sunday
- [STRIKE]Check cashback[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Dinner from meal plan - Pasta bake[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Keep lights off/things unplugged if not used[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Cut & colour from my usual hairdresser[/STRIKE] - doesn't sound DFW but they give me a very good deal as I've been going there so long, & I don't want to risk going anywhere cheaper with less than 5 months to the wedding as they know my many previous hair colours & so it can be a bit awkward! In fairness I haven't been since Sept either as I have been trying to save money so it was needed, honest! Should only need to go 2 or 3 times more before the wedding now, yay!
- [STRIKE]Work my first proper shift at the pub later[/STRIKE], gets me earning rather than spending money, although it is a shame I have to miss my friend's birthday do, I was quite looking forward to it!
- [STRIKE]Since I am working more, my OH has kindly done the bulk of the housework so we can just chill tomorrow (well, I have fleabay to deal with but at least it's just that!)[/STRIKE]

Well, I'm just starting my journey here so the DFW thing I've done today is set up a basic bank account and almost completed my CCDs debt remedy (just got a few more things to work out). Not sure if these things qualify but they're a start. As for tomorrows jobs.......well i think I'll write/print off letters informing work, tax credits and child benefit of my new account details.0

Looking at everybody's lists makes me feel really guilty - having a CBA day here today due to unsettling news re job earlier in the week and the fact today we started on part one of installing solar panels EEEK! Inside job due to weather - lots of cabling running through attics and stuff - house is a complete tip. Also been impromptu taxi service for DD2 and friends which wasnt in plans and got really mad when parents of her friends where really shoite about helping out- we all live in rural area and it comes with the territory sometimes that parents have to ferry the kids around to activities etc I couldn't believe their attitude ( and neither could DD2 !) and I succumbed to shop bought pizza for tea AAARRGGH! Sorry ranting. Hoping tomorrow will be better
