Wow, it's funny how one minute you have nothing planned and the next you're almost there!

    We now have:
    Wedding and reception venue
    Registrar and have giving notice
Wedding dress (which doesn't actually come out to shops till January 2013 so I'm super excited and feel very special about it)
    Bridesmaid dresses
    All suits
    Flowers
Cake (Going for cheese wheels instead of actual cake)
    Macaroon tower
    Photographer
    Videographer
    Photo booth
DJ and caterers come with the venue
Pretty good idea of decorations and lots of bits and bobs we've picked up to pretty up the place

We still need transport, rings and insurance (). Found a make up/hair girl too but haven't booked yet.

I've joined Slimming World and started going to the gym too, so hopefully I'll be happy with how I look on the day.

This is all happening so quickly!

Does anyone else freak out a little bit when they realise it's only 6 months away?!

Well done GemmieWho! You've done lots more than me.

I'm trying to nail invites atm as want to send them out in a month, plus trying to prod OH to go suit shopping.

I do freak out a bit but only in a good way :)

Invites! I knew I'd forgotten to write something down
Are you doing both Save The Dates and formal invites?

Yeah my H2B was a bit hesitant about suit shopping too.
He has no interest in clothing/fashion/appearance lol.
I booked in an appointment and told him he was going, not the most diplomatic approach, but it worked ;)

Our next job is rings and choosing details of ceremony :-)

    ooh toots that's so impressive!
I've almost sorted a hair/make up lady, but am going to what will probably be our last wedding fayre on Sunday so want to see if there are any deals there first.

really need to get OH to do suits and rings though - his stag do is almost planned but actual wedding stuff isn't!!

  • I have got a hair and make up pair of people sorted. Need to speak to them in January I think.
still need to do rings and buy some shoes so seamstress can at least sort length out for now lol
  • Have been completely sidetracked last few months, you know what a bride is like planning her big day haha!

I've updated the first page :)

Decided we are having a joint hen / stag weekend (hag do). Although its not us paying for it, we would ideally enjoy a weekend away with our close friends/family members as we share the same circle of close people.

Had a bit of a change of wedding dress, as wasn't 100% on the original dress I had purchased, but happier now with my new one :)

Been chasing up all the RSVP's that were supposed to be back by end of september, and going to arrange a meeting with the venue this week regarding finalising times etc.

Bridesmaid dresses have been changed, and similar to that of my wedding dress, I prefer the new ones! More so the fact that one of my bridesmaids decided to tell me they would be about to pop on my big day! Grrrrrr

All the suits arrived this month. Decided to purchase them outright, on the basis of re-sale after the wedding to recoup some of the funds. It worked out actually cheaper then some of the rental packages we looked into. Just need to order the cravats and find some shoes, and they're all sorted!

Deposit paid for the photographer, just need to make final payment a few weeks before. It was the same photographer my sister used for her wedding this year and his work was amazing. He even did us the 2010 price (matching the rate my sister paid 2yrs ago). It's exactly what we wanted, all photos on a CD with no copyright :D

Now that its only 159 days until the wedding, my OH is getting a big kick up the bum to start getting all the small things put into place. Xmas is hectic enough let alone with the wedding getting even closer

Wow mrsbunntobe you are soooo organised!! I haven't even sent out invites yet and I thought November was quite early. OH also needs to get himself in gear and go suit shopping - I don't know how else to nag :(

We do have rings and all other stuff sorted though, so mainly just on to making stationary and finalising little details.
