  • Can I join please? We are marrying in March we just need to decide the date from two we have.

It's a church followed by a lovely hotel which has a winter package.

Were getting married on the 22nd, ten years to the day since with have been together. Bit corny I know but we like it. Its on a friday as well, which helps us get a good discount. We are pretty much sorted, venue & catering, registrar, photographer, dj, flowers, venue dresser, wedding dress and bridemaids dresses (MIL making them) all booked. Just need to sort rings next and also entertainment.

We are stuggling on the entertainment side for our guests. What are you guys and girls doing in the form of entertainment. Its in march so we cannot do anything outside. We are having the whole do at the same place (ceremony, breakfast and evening do) and we need to entertain our guests. I was thinking of casino tables or something, but not sure if this is too corny.

Yey more people!! Entertainment wise we've just booked a live band, nice local trio of young people our age though so it's only costing £300 and they're doing a sort-of DJ thing for us afterwards for an extra £50.

We couldn't justify any more unfortunately, although depending on budget nearer the time I'm considering havng a table with just a few fun games like bucking bronco or guess who or something, especially as we have a few kids coming.

  • Hi all! I am also a March bride, we're getting married on the 30th March - I see there are a few of us on the same day! I seem to have highs and lows with wedding planning, one minute I will be completely into it and doing loads of stuff, then the next I will be fed up with it and stressed and not wanting to do it! I'm sure it will all come together in the end. So far we have done the following:
    • Booked the church
    • Booked the venue
    • Booked the caterers (although not decided on exact food yet)
    • Booked the DJ
    • Bought my dress
    • Sent out save the dates
There is still LOADS to do!! We have everything we need to make the invites although I do need to get the wording printed onto some pearlescent card we have to stick on the inside of the cards. I am worried though, i'm not a naturally crafty person and things don't always turn out how I picture them in my mind! Fingers crossed.

I need to get more into gear as there's still lots to do!
