will have a look on Thursday ..i need one for Glasgow for the 5th july as my coach trip to Legoland leaves at 7-30 am

Coach company i'm travelling with claimed they did special deals but quoted me £134 for 1 night at Holiday Inn express ( just for me and 2 kids under 10 )

    hi,
if it's caledonian your travelling with then this will be the best rate available at the hi express, they do have a genuine deal set up with the hotel, unfortunately to get the best price it depends on how busy the hotel is.

but, why don't you give them a call back and ask about the car parking deal? you'll see it advertised here:

it's really handy for the bus station, just across the road! :T

Any suggestions for travelodges within easy walking distance of train stations (not Chester, York or Edinburgh) Southampton is miles from the station so that ones out as well

New Liverpool- the strand may be good. Opens next week I think, its a brand new building on the front.

New Brighton one is close too but theres not much to do there really.

Anyone stayed in Bangor/Caernarfon/Porthmadog - looking to book one of these but with a baby and a toddler I don't want a dirty unsafe room as sometimes you hear with Travelodge;)

The one in Caernarfon is the best travelodge I have ever stayed in.. the room we got was massive and clean. I loved it. I wish it wasnt so far or we would have stayed again.

Travelodge at Staines is nice, and there's a Waitrose across the car park which you can grab a breakfast at/grab provisions to take with you to Legoland. We've also stayed at Slough, which is reasonable, and Heston Services which isn't as nice but is usually cheap!

Thanks, Staines is really expensive at the moment but maybe will be cheaper tomorrow x
  • hoping to get a southend travelodge to add to days already booked

We stayed for 2 nights in Caernaforn in December. We stayed in 2 family rooms in the ground floor (the reception is on the 1st floor accessible via a lift/stairs). I can totally recommend these rooms..they were clean, quiet and we had a lovely time. The timing was not perfect for doing much outside, but if u go in warmer weather it would be ok.

there is no cafe in this travelodge, but there is a table table (Premier inn's breakfast cafe) just opposite the hotel and also there was another cafe just opposite the hotel front entrance. One day we had breakfast at Morrisons which is closeby.

there is a free car park (2-5 minutes walking distance from the hotel). The only downside is you cant take a vehicle to the hotel entrance, so u will have to carry yr stuff for a tiny distance (we parked opposite Table Table while unloading/reloading.

We stayed at Cardiff Central last Summer and travelled by train. It is just around the corner from the train staton. Infact everywhere we wanted to visit was within walking distance and we went by bus to the bay for a day visit.

Excellent idea. We had a brief weekend in Cardiff Bay a couple of years ago and Cardiff had a really nice feel so we keep saying we want to go back. its about 4 hours on the train from us but we have passes so thats not a problem
