Lindos, you're not doing anything wrong, it's just that they don't update the table view (the one where you can see red and orange sale rooms) too often. They say that at the bottom of the page I think. So the prices shown on there have probably sold out by the time you came to book, and you ended up with the higher prices.

The same just happened to me, booking rooms for my family at Easter. Very annoying but at least not £289 for a night....:eek:

Fontwell Park used to be such a nice Innkeepers Lodge - I rue the day it changed to TL - at least the onsite pub food is still good but you only get a breakfast bag now, no buffet.

The plain Fontwell one is just over the road and has Little Chef next door. I heard it has recently been refurbished? For that, probably read v hard beds, and for heaven's sake bring a pillow in case you can't get on with theirs....(or is that just me?)

For a lovelier if more expensive hotel you could look at http://www.bestwestern.co.uk/Hotels/Beachcroft-Hotel-Bognor-Regis-83909/Hotel-Info/Default.aspx??
Have been to a function there and it seemed nice.

The last time I tried, you had to make separate bookings for each price bracket, otherwise it charged the most expensive room rate showing for all the nights - could that be it?

At the bottom of the webpage where you can select extras like WiFi or insurance (it comes up after you click to book the first night of your stay) there is something to click on that allows you to add a further booking to your basket. This means that you book each night separately to gain the cut price room rate, but the bookings are linked so that the system recognises it is all one booking and keeps you in the same room every night. Each booking shows in your basket (top right) as you add it.

i have booked 4 nights using a saver rate in the same travel lodge for April for 4 continuous nights, how can i ensure that i will not be changing rooms each time? (or is the system clever enough to keep the same people in the same room?)

Just ask when you arrive and they'll sort it for you. Some Travelodges make you check in again each morning (just a quick job) but some seem to be able to manage it without that.

Just mention it to reception when you check in. No problem.

Hi I know this is a bit old but I figured I would ask in here any ways. I bought a couple of rooms on here the night the sale started with a card from an account that I'm closing. The card hasn't been charged so I wonder if I'm ok to just cancel it and pay with my new card when I get there? Does anyone know if this is ok?

    Thanks.

It is unusual for Travelodge not to have charged your card for your sale rooms. I would log into "My Travelodge" to make sure that your rooms are indeed showing on your account. And if that is all ok then contact Travelodge to see if it would be ok to make payment on another card on the day.
