    Hi,
Managed to get Slough for 9th June, family room £10. Ds05 loves LEGO.
Also got Blackpool on 6th June, but went for Central so only double room!!! Did not realise the don't do family rooms till I got confirmation, so had to book another room, just to get us all in!!!
I am such a wally, teach me to check next time!!!
Two half term breaks done for £30, not too bad!!!
Thanks OP, and all who post!!!
i dont mean too worry you. but i nearly booked the central in blackpool until i did some homework about it. it is above a night club :eek:.
    "Additional Information:
Blackpool Central is a shared complex building with night club and bar on ground level with Travelodge occuyping all levels above."

we booked the south prom instead.

I've never stopped at a travel lodge before,do I need to print off the email invoice to take when I go?

they don't usually look much at them but i always take mine, makes ME feel better, plus i always pay the 15p sms fee so i have it on my mobile as a back up in case of some room screw up, mind you i've never had any problems whatsoever with travelodge, more than i can say for far more expensive hotels

honestly, i have NEVER seen a cheap friday or saturday, i'd grab what you can for a decent price now or it might be gone

i do these travelodge deals 3-4 times a year for the last several years and usually not even the remote locations offer the cheap rooms on friday or saturday, if you've never seen your location for less than £20 i think your chances of a cheap room on a weekend is about as much as an ice cube in erm.... ;)

I managed to get my Friday for £10 but struggling to get a Wednesday lol!

    Thanks merry widow.
Yes you are correct, and the reviews on trip advisor make interesting reading!!!
I was lured by the central location, but if it is really bad, I will just drive home at the end of the day. Worst case I loose £20, or have a sleepless night!!!!

We always stay in the one on Balmoral Road right outside the pleasure beach. Always clean and never experienced any noise in it yet. Also got 5 nights for a family room end of July start of August for £50. Sorted just need to start saving and printing off the vouchers for all the attractions!!.

Managed to get a family room in Scarborough during the school Easter holidays for £15 per night. Total costs is less than a nearby campsite wanted per night to pitch our tent. Sorted!

I've had York Saturday night rooms for £25 and also Edinburgh Saturday night for £25 - mind you this was early Janaury (for the sales) and the Edinburgh was just before Christmas.

So cheaper weekend rooms can be found in the colder months.

I managed to grab heathrow £15 Friday night end of July. It works in sync with a south coast holiday in the week, heading to legoland on the Saturday before coming home :)

For any one wanting rooms in Blackpool, also check out the new Lytham St.Annes Travelodge which is opening in March.

Only a couple of miles up the prom to Blackpool.:)

The travelodge is only a 2 minute walk to St.Annes pier and beach and is situated in the little town centre with loads of restaurants close by.

Don't bother looking for mid July though, because that is when the open golf tournament is taking place at Royal Lytham. The rooms go up to £219 per night!:eek:
