Roughly how many jobs do you apply for a week?

Options
Feeling frustrated here, my first week of unemployment I did the sending out of the CV's, the going to visit employers, the searching and registering on job sites, That first week I applied for 6 jobs, I thought "Things aren't as bad as made out" well nothing has appeared since, the first week was just catching up on jobs that had been on for yonks, that was almost a month ago:( So you could say at the moment I am averaging 6 per month

Essex/London border and I am applying for jobs in a 20 mile radius of where I live as only use the tube. Looking for work in accounts as I have 20 years experience and apply for everything down to junior/trainee roles and ones paying NMW etc. Also applying for part time too as well as full time and contract work.

113 in 2 weeks....WOW!!!....Are you just ticking boxes on a website and clicking send or are these actual jobs that you written a tailored application for and put some effort into researching the company you wish to work for?

I apply for about 2 genuine jobs that I actually want per week. I do also tick boxes on jobserve and other websites and "apply" by sending a standard CV but I do not count those jobs as applied for.

I've applied for six in the past week, and I'm in the process of applying for another one, plus I have seven more to apply for - application deadlines aren't for a while though so I'm taking my time.

I am looking for a reasonably specific role, so not that many come up - 113 in two weeks would not be possible for me. I have a pretty thorough search method, so I'm fairly confident that I find every suitable vacancy. I'd say on average about five suitable jobs in the right area come up each week for me.

I wasn't told either, I was told I had to put 3 things a week in that book whether it be search, apply or whatever.

I think location must play a big part in this, You have access to London so bound to be more opportunities, I'm not being fussy either, I'm not a grad and the likes of Monster.co.uk all seem to cater for grads, my only real options are agencies and the job centre website.
