Gosh! You are right, this thread is growing smaller. Usually if I come on at this time I can reckon to be on page 3 at least. Perhaps the cold weather means that everyone has gone into hibernation, and who can blame them. I do miss some of the old friends though.
Beautiful blue sky here, beautiful blue sea too, and a wind that cuts you right through the middle!
Am struggling with forms to sell my house. I thought I was well organised but various certificates and warranties seem to have gone AWOL. Then of course I have to show how beautifully I've laundered my money. Well, there's the pound-a-day tin, and if I go round my pockets I might find another 83p or so, other than that I don't know what they are talking about.
Need something warming to eat today, am thinking cottage pie or sausage and mash. Beef casserole would have been nice if I'd thought of it sooner. We're going out tomorrow for a posh lunch at the local college (eat your heart out Islandmaid), so don't want any leftovers.
Miffy: Hope everything goes well today. Enjoy being with your family.
JulieG: wrap her up well and look after yourself.I believe that friends are quiet angels

Hi all

Enjoy reading all the posts but agree its gone down a bit people must be hibernating me thinks. Hester - your life is so up and down you couldnt write it could you?? It always gives me a smile tho - and everyone else just keep posting and makin me smile too. Its good to read how people get over things and makes you grateful that perhaps at times life isnt that bad .... whats that sayin always someone worse off???:jBetter to light a candle than to curse the darkness. :beer:0 -
Very Off Topic, but just read this on anoher thread, and thought I would share with you:
Since we're concerned here with Big Brother, can I remind you of the SOPA and PIPA laws which public demand recently had thrown out in the USA? There is a similar law being debated in the EU, known as ACTA. I'm not going to provide info here as it is way, way off topic, but Google it (or just check out here) and find out what it means. There has even been a brave EU MP resign over its evil transition already. If you then wish to make a point about this, another threat to our freedom, you may like to sign an e-petition at the HMG site.
As you know, I don't normally shout for causes on here, but this is so important ... You may look up at your leisure.
All ironing finished, showered and now ready to set off for the quiz at 7pm. Have a warm evening everyone. DG

Monnagran - It's that 2p you found in the bottom of the drum of your washer that someone left in their pockets:D:D
DG
Oh! THAT 2p. Well that's been air-dried, steam ironed and is now in my knicker drawer, nestling up to a lavender bag. That's cleared that up then.
Islandmaid: I'll give delicious Henry your love.
"By the time a woman realises that her mother was right, she has a daughter who thinks she is wrong."
Don't know about girls but when my DS1 was a teenager and at his most confrontational my doctor said soothingly not to worry because they all sorted themselves out by the time they were 40.
I was not comforted, I wanted an overnight transformation.
He is now 42 and the doctor was semi-right. Still a way to go in my opinion.
I wouldn't change him though.;)
I'm only posting again to bump up the numbers.I believe that friends are quiet angels
