The reason people on benefits are vilified so much is because Cameron's right wing politics are actively pitting social groups against eachother to drum up resentment & it's working pretty well so far. You only have to look around you to see the effects.

To quote a post from another site -
Since the Conservatives have been in power, it would seem that they are once again picking on the most voulnerable people in society (shock horror eh?)

The unemployed, the old, the sick, the disabled and the young.. I'm surprised that single mums aint copped for it again, but then again, there's still time.

So who's going to be next on the chopping block? I read that even people who have cancer and are on chemotherapy are going to be asked to prove they can't work, the question is... who is going to employ someone who is (possibly) going to die and/or be impaired by their treatment?

Wasn't it in a deep depression that another leader had similar ideas of ridding society of such people by turning opinion about them to his advantage in the media? ........... sometime in the late 30's I believe.

I've recently received a right payment program form via the good folks at DLA. Obviously I'm a bit anxious about it but as my condition has certainly not improved I hope the award will remain unchanged.

C.C.L. gave a positive response as did others. Giving a negative comment doesn't help anyone. It merely worries who the situation involves at the time and undoubtedly anyone it will include later.

When D.L.A. changes to P.I.P. I'm going to avoid these type of forums as the negativity will not be in the slightest bit productive.
