Ah I see. Normally they cut you off pretty quickly if it's a new account. I understand you may have had reasons for not checking and without wanting to sound harsh, it is your responsibility too.
I really don't want to sound harsh because there were obviously reasons why you didn't pay closer attention to it. Maybe it might be worth contacting the credit referrals team and explaining the situation and if necessary, the reasons around it. If you tell them all about the situation with the DD error then they might remove the adverse info. I'm not saying they will of course but it can't hurt to ask.0 -
I agree, my fault too, wiil explain later dont want to sound like i'm looking for pity because I'm not.
have phoned, faxed, written to orange giving full details and they may remove negatives, will know in 7 days:cool: Wisdom doesn't necessarily come with age.

I am going to sound harsh as well but if you had took 30mins out to call them when the first DD never went out then this wouldn't have happened. Also why didn't you ring when you couldn't get in your online account?
I would check your credit file first before kicking up to much of a fuss though, I have found companies sometimes put a "Q" in when a payment has not been made...... or sometimes if I have paid late in the past it still shows as a nice "0".0 -
checked the credit file just 3 late payments recorded that have been settled.
I asked on here for advice not critcism unfortunately there are always those who think the know all and know nothing and really provide no advice whatsoever. Wisdom doesn't necessarily come with age.

I'm surprised orange let it go on so long as when my payment is due I get a text message.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0

as I said earlier, no text messages received, no letters received despite them telling me they had written to me....what they really meant here is that they sent reminder letters to my account that is still in accessible, they are now going to send all bills by post until they have sorted the technical problems with my account:cool: Wisdom doesn't necessarily come with age.

They are apparently fixing my account and the money for both this month and the missed payment is coming out on the 10th of February! However they had no problem putting another 1 missed payment on my credit record on the 6th! If they don't remove it I am going to pay my contract off in full and move to O2! Worst decision of my life was when I went with orange.Money: Current Account: £85.24 | Cash ISA: £5300.00 | Online Saver: £2700.00* | Total Cash: £8085.24

orange have removed the 3 negatives on my credit file because they realised that they had made a mistake when keying my bank details and their records were incorrect. I phoned and made the complaint and asked them to remove the negatives, I also faxed a letter and sent a letter by recorded delivery.
I still cannot access my account online but have to phone 439 to resolve the technical problems.
there are some good people at orange so persevere the alternative is costly. Wisdom doesn't necessarily come with age.
