HELP PLEASE The No-No hair remover
It is really a No No as the reviews on QVC suggest? My mum wants it for facial hair, and reviews seem to suggest that contrary to the advert you can't use it on the face? Anyone any idea??
I just consulted the oracle (ehherm, google) and came up with a 60 dday trial for the nono. On the advert for it, it most definately says that it is for use on the face too. I shall continue to dig! Hmm, the free trial is "apparently" ending today. I'm not so sure about that. I can't find any bad reviews about it BUT, I don't trust the reviews I have read because they seem to say the same thing verbatim.
Some UU's. A TA, old lippie. New one bought. WIBA? Pobably not, it was a nice enough colour but the Boots natural collection have very nice lipsticks for £1.99 each which are quite moisturising. A new opened today. UU cotton wool balls (boots I think?) WIBA?: I did the other day. I have a tube of pads to get through first though. UU: Virgin vie one step face base. WIBA?: I have some left in stash to be transferred from my book to my compact. When they are gone, yes I will providing they still do my colour.
Have an unexpected night off work so am about to wallow in the bath and paint my toe nails and buff my finger nails. I'm also going to put on a face mask as I seem to suddenly have loads of black heads..

The fact you can get the NONO on qvc means I can always get a 30 day trial from them, but the reviews there are like 1 star throughout!
I think I wont recommend it to my mum anyway, she has really bad shakes, poor eyesight and if it was me wanting something JUST for facial hair I would get a good threader! Has threading made it to deepest darkest East Kilbride yet(I will investigate at Easter I thinks
)

adela it will cost your mum about the same as a NONO (with it's short life span on the bulb or w/e it's called) to get a few sessins of IPL for facial hair which will have a better effect. She'll likely end up with finer, lighter, less hair if not none at all. The NONO isn't permanent or as good as you'd hope it to be simply because it's not powerful enough! it just doens't compare to professional machines.
zoeL i also use shampoo that i don't want to use on my hair.
evilsquid modern friction actually made my face burn! the only thing i use it on is areas prone to ingrown hairs and my shoulders.
weesmiler i don't know but wish i did!
My huge bottle of Super Star conditioner has about 75ml left in it but the pump has stopped working and i'm having to use it to scoop out conditioner into my hand! Very annoying. I'd cut it open but I want to use the bottle to store body oil.
I am absolutely in love with the A-Derma Oat Milk Cleansing bar(can't believe how well it works with my clarisonic), A-Derma soapless gel cleanser(at OH's when i'm without clarisonic), LRP physiological scrub and surprisingly i really like nip+fab clean fix oil. My local TK Maxx had loads of nip+fab products in the clearance section because the boxes were battered so I ended up buying half the range for less than £30 (bust, tummy, dry leg, dark circle, lip+nip, spot, dry hand, clean fix oil) admittedly most of it will probably be passed on to my sis and the tummy fix is going on ebay as to me it's the junk product of the pamper set(£10!). I also managed to get Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream spf50 for half price for the summer.Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0 -
I am done in tonight - work was really challenging and has just exhausted me. Fingers crossed that I don't have another night like that one again.
So another uu - my listerine mouthwash, which has already been replaced from my stash. No buying toiletries Graduated May 2017Decluttered 2016 2469 items, 2017 1580 items :j2018 3060 itemsSealed Pot Challenge No 0380 -

So, didn't really manage to get many photos. The M.E is really kicking my butt lately. Finding it so hard to do any of the things I enjoy.
Still, at least I can edit previous photos to keep my Photography on deviantART up-to-date.
Anyway, this is some of my toiletry stash. I still have some that is on the sides of the bath. This photo was taken a couple of months ago, when we moved into our new flat. However, the stash has pretty much stayed the same as I find it hard to use toiletries up quickly, due to the M.E and not usually being well enough to pamper myself. Look how huge and deep our bathroom side is! I was amazed when we came and viewed the flat. My first thoughts were "Yaaaaaaaaaaaaay! Somewhere to put my toiletry stash. Now I don't have to live out of a storage tower.":o It doesn't look like my stash is that big but I have a few layers behind the front! I'll post my make-up stash when I'm feeling up to it.2019 Wins

evening ladies,
hugs to those that need them
I have a few uu's (finally!)
Re:nu age defy conditioner - this was part of a set I was given at Christmas, it was ok as a conditioner but no better than many much cheaper brands so I definitely wouldn't go out and buy it but it was nice to be given it to try.
Happy Hair conditioner - love this stuff, makes my hair soft and easy to brush, I have another one in the stash so don't need to buy again just yet
Gok gorgeous bodywash - love this shower gel, it smells gorgeous, I have the liquid gold one from the same gift set in use now. Will definitely buy again if it comes out again next Christmas.
Now for the 'ins'have gone a bit mad on the nail polish purchases and have added the following to the stash: the recent nails inc TSV consisting of -
1 x Baker Street (10ml) - cobalt blue
1 x Belgrave Mews (10ml) - forest green
1 x Cadogan Place (10ml) - muted mushroom
1 x Mayfair Mews (10ml) - coral
1 x Piccadilly Arcade (10ml) - pink
1 x Royal Mews (10ml) - holographic silver
1 x Wilton Row (10ml) - maroon/plum
also got a lovely W7 glitter set reduced so have -
cosmic purple
cosmic pink
cosmic blue
I'm very pleased with the glitter polishes as they give as solid a coverage as my nails inc 3D glitter, but for a fraction of the price!
Might also have bought a maybelline np in a peach shade (can't see a name on the bottle):o
so bunch up on the naughty step - anyone want their nails painted while I'm there? :rotfl:
Happy pampering, xo0 -
I am investigating IPL clinics near my mum. I wish she would come to London to see me as "my lady" at the local salon is well, a bit older. I dont think my mum would react well to anyone under the age of 50 doing her face. Adds a bit to the price of IPL is you have to travel the length of the country to have it done
And Morticia I have a deep side in my bathroom too, yours is much cleaner! Mine collects his lordships junk too!0 -
morning all, actually did a PYNM last night as DH away yet again:(I like watching Whitechapel but it is far too scary to watch when alone in the house:rotfl:so called DSis for 1.40 hours instead:rotfl:(we chatted soo long she needed a toilet break:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:)
I am trying to let my toe nails grow(usually have very short so if DH stands on my toes when dancing he does not do too much damage....he took half of each big toe nail off whenwe first started dancing:eek:)but think they are probably too long as when I took my shoes off I saw my pop sock on one foot was now just as tube starting below my toes:rotfl:no wonder my shoes felt strange!am having a pre holiday pedicure next week so will get them sorted.
I noticed in town in JL that Sisley have a bonus time on for those interested(not that anyone would be!)I did not look at prices as don't want to enter the world of maga expensiv e stuff(esp as the Dr organics skin lotion at £7 is lovely)
hugs to all who need one today0
