((hugs))) Rosemary, fingers crossed about your blood pressure
ANYWAY HELP PLEASE The No-No hair remover
It is really a No No as the reviews on QVC suggest? My mum wants it for facial hair, and reviews seem to suggest that contrary to the advert you can't use it on the face? Anyone any idea??
She has entrusted me to find out. She trusts me to do a lot of things, as I seem to have magic powers (no one tell her its just google pretty please)0 -
Another UU Boots extracts cocoa butter sugar scrub. WNBA because I don't really rate the extracts scrubs, only have it because it was part of a set brought in sales..Debt free and busy treating myself:)
No more toiletries/make up until I've used what I've got stashed since Jan 2011, graduated October 2012. Restocked Dec 13..damn those sales0 -
My DH keeps telling me off for entering competitions for make-up and toiletries. He says I have enough already.:o
I might be brave and post a picture of my stash. Oh the horror!:eek:2019 Wins

I will give this a go next time I use it, I usually try and moisturise before I use it but must have missed a few bits. This one has good coverage, and DH thinks it looks great on, but I find it really drys out my skin and feels really heavy when I'm wearing it. The other one I have open feels better on but according to DH doesn't look great on. I've actually thrown other foundations way, as they are just too dry on my skin.
I have really dry skin and most foundations go flaky on my skin during the day. However, I find either Clinique's tinted moisturiser (for light coverage) or Bobbi Brown's Luminous Moisturising Foundation really good - neither of them go flaky ever. Until I found these I couldn't wear foundation as my skin looked worse with it due to the flaky mess !Pay debt in 2012 #278 £2347/£5364

Just wondering, what do you ladies use to clean makeup brushes? I was tempted by a Clinique brush cleanser, but thought liquid soap seems to do the job perfectly fine!

UU's for today
Pantene 2 min intensive treatment sample - WNBA, this didn't give me an "intensive" conditioning at all
L'occitane shea butter hand cream - Definitely WBA. I love this hand cream so much, just as much as the Clarins one. I will definitely get some more after I finish my other travel size one.No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries Challenge

ZoeL - I recommend using dish soap and olive oil. That is how many artist clean their brushes. I do it and it's wonderful. No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries Challenge

Itsy - sorry to hear of your loss *hugs*
Lady M - I don't think I could post a picture of my makeup stash, it makes me feel sick how big it is! I'm working hard on getting it down and will probably end up selling all the bits that haven't been opened and are still good.
1 more UU: Pack of Simple face wipes, WBA because they are handy to have around but I'm determined to use my skincare routine properly so I wont be needing any for a while.
Oh and does anyone have any recs for a good eye cream with SPF in it? My Vitamin E one is coming to an end and it doesn't really do anything for me.Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170 -
more UU:
Mitchell & Peach shower gel - WNBA has Ammonium lauryl sulphate in. i dumped al of this in the bath as bubble bath and it did quite well. shame about the ALS because i do like the smell.
Origins Modern Friction - WNBA contains SLS and is very scratchy for facial skin. i repurposed as a body scrub because i was out of that and its done well. one more sample tube to go then I'm onto my nice Elemis stuff!
oops forgot to add:
Dead Sea Spa body lotion - WNBA, did the job but nothing special
one TA:
Vinies Veda face mask this was the crazy boudoir prive mask that sent some peoples skin mental or was a HG. i was ok first time and got lulled into a false sense of security, used for same amount of time and used a bit more mask and got an horrific rash this time. looked like i'd fallen asleep on a sun bed. i was bright red wherever it had touched and it took over an hour to calm down. face was on fire. if you ever come into contact with this stuff and you have even remotely sensitive skin bin it and don't let it touch your face!I'm using this in the am and my skin seems to have come out the other side of it as for a while I was getting blemishes on my cheek. Something must be working well cos I am not getting milia at the mo which I normally suffer from.
i might give it another go, I'm now on my last 2 cleansers, both in use none in stash and i'm trying to eak out the C&P as much as poss.Just wondering, what do you ladies use to clean makeup brushes? I was tempted by a Clinique brush cleanser, but thought liquid soap seems to do the job perfectly fine!
I'm using a freebie john frieda shampoo and conditioner i got that has SLS in so won't be going near my hair. its done an excellent job so far and using conditioner too has def made a difference, my bare minerals brushes are nowhere near as scratchy as usual. suppose its all just "hair" really so whatever shampoo and conditioner does to us it'll do to those too.0
