Secondly, a bit of advice please for those who Ebay, I've got quite a chunk of my stash plus some cosmetics (I haven't included these at all in my stash as it would have just gotten right of of hand, plus most UU are real LHJ in this area - I'm going for the quick wins!!) that I'm not overly excited about using, don't need, don't really like etc I'll get to the point soon!! Ok, so what do you find goes well, any particular types of products, brands etc? If its not worth Ebaying certain things I'll put them up for swapsies on the FB group.

    Ems, a things I've found:
    1. Brandname stuff definitely goes, especially if you bundle it together. I had a quite a few L'Occitane travel products, I split them off into groups of 4 and had mutiple watchers and bids. Search for the brands you have to see if items are out there with bids. Just don't get tempted along the way. :D

    2. For stuff that you don't think will go well (if single items are out there without bids), then try to bundle that together, some people will see it as a bargain then. For example, I sold 6 pairs of those airline socks that you get free on the airplane. Someone purchased and left me lovely feedback.

Just a tip, pay attention to your postal costs as that is now factored into the ebay fees. I find it no longer worth it for .99 p items the way it used to be. I only do sales on free listing weekends, when I can start things off at 3 or 4 pounds.

Rosemary - I've just been to look at the throws at Blacker Designs and they are beautiful :heartpuls .

I have two thingies from Blacker designs, both alpaca, and both bought in previous sales lol. Customer service is good and the service fairly speedy (I get the feeling its quite a small business)

The two thingies I have (one throw one scarf) are very generously sized.

    And... 3 unexpected TAs-

Travel sized Crabtree and Evelyn La Source Shampoo/conditioner/bodywash.

There's an expiry date on them I'd never noticed, 2008!!:eek:

No wonder the body lotion had gone all horrible!

And I've opened yet another body lotion, Avon's Planet Spa Japanese Sake and rice. Not sure I'm keen on the smell, a bit sickly sweet for me. Oh what to do? Especially given I have stuff I'm looking forward to using. Arg.#

ETA - Oh !!!! this stuff's full of glitter too! ::headdesk::
  • UU SAMY Fat Hair thickening spray WBA lovely stuff that does make my fine hair look and feel thicker, got another in the stash but am also using a Clynol thickening lotion.

Got a couple of other splutterers which I hope to have UU over the weekend!

I'm in exactly the same cycle :o The thing is it does cheer me up when I try something new and it's difficult to give that up, which is why I'm here ;)

My M.E. seems to be getting worse too :(. It's so flipping mysterious/unpredictable. I used to have lots more 'good' days but they're few and far between now. This thread is excellent for distracting me though
Oh my goodness. Can't believe I forgot to say welcome! Welcome to the thread. :D My name is Anni (or Mouse as I'm sometimes known) :)

I really want to try some new makeup looks. I have so much makeup (seriously - my stash is huge!) but it's hard finding the energy. :(

I find MSE is a great distraction. I enter alot of competitions over on the comps board too. :)

Thats one of my markers for if my depression is particularly bad, I stop comping! (which means i stop getting wee wins that cheer me up) Need to get back on that board!

    Anyway, hugs lovely peoples!
  • ZoeL - it's a day for breakthroughs........

I have done it - I made a start on my make-up 'collection'.

I have no idea what took over me - but I have a single carrier bag (weighing 9lbs might I add) that I have just thrown in the bin. Get me:T

Some of the stuff that was in those boxes - oh my word, out of date does not even to begin to express it:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

As most of you know, for every beauty UU I donate £1 to my 'Vegas holiday fund'. Well, with this many throw aways and UU's I really cannot afford to do that on this occasion. So I have decided that I will add £15 to the pot, in respect of my efforts.

I have to add..... this was not really the drastic 'cull' I had envisioned - I kept holding some stuff back

'I will try that tomorrow', 'forgot I had that', 'will use that as handcream'. So, I've not really been as good as I could have been. Baby steps and all that:D

On the plus side - I have run out of B&B and will not be buying any untill the TSV at the end of the month (I give the other bits away in birthday/xmas beauty hampers). I found a collection of powder foundations this evening, that will see me through to the begining of March. Result!

Have cut off the end of my S&G handcream, you may recall that I've been complaining about the smell of this - it truly is awful, not even doing a good job of my feet so WNBA even though I have a couple more and having sniffed them know they too are off

TAlked myslef out the BS offer, only because I went upstairs to get my credit card and noticed the bags from the Boots 75% sale :eek:and also have several boxes from BS orders from last year to use first! :o
Life is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you'll see further.
