Oh the irony of posting my updated stash list after your last post Willowbee :o!
So, I'm trying to be logical about why there is so much stuff when I hadn't bought that much recently.
The men's red FCUK stuff was bought as gifts for Christmas until we all decided that we weren't buying for each other (DH & I, BiL & SiL & MiL). So I have lots of toiletries which were destined for them as gifts but were never given. That's ok, I can live with that. Same with the BB's, they were intended as gifts but I ended up being able to get better gifts for people or better value gifts or having to downgrade what we were getting them having seen what they got us (nothing worse than that sick feeling you get when someone else has obviously spent an awful lot more than you have on a gift).
So now I know what order I need and want to use stuff in. I just need to get on and do it.
The sanctuary body souffle will be the next product that gets opened because I love this stuff. It will last me a couple of months. Less if everyone else starts using it though.
Most of the mini bits were in a large gift set that I got 3 of for Christmas 2010. I gave one each to MiL and SiL and kept the other back for a gift during the year or for myself when I run out. Neither has happened yet but I am at splutter stage on my serum and night cream.
The good thing about it is that I will have oodles of travel sized toiletries available for when we go on holiday so I won't need to worry about taking stuff. DH and I will be able to share a serum between us etc etc. That's if we even need it as we have the spf face stuff. What do you think VALM? I know you go to Florida a fair amount.

Right, panic over. It's e cotton wool balls which are really scaring me tbh, I hate cotton wool!
    Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.
    MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.
    2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.

Rosemary - I've just been to look at the throws at Blacker Designs and they are beautiful :heartpuls I'm tempted to ask my parents if I can have one tucked away for a birthday present (kept until June!) I spend a lot of time wrapped up in bed/on the sofa resting (I'm another person with M.E.) so anything cosy like this really appeals to me. I'm not sure which one I'd choose though...
I ordered these two but am sure they are all lovely if the 3 I have already are anything to go by:)

not really a toiletry in but I got a mystery lubricant to try from a survey I did today:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:funny thing is it was one I did in DHs name:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:so had to ask him to open the parcel to make sure that was what it was....he asked if I needed some me time:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:(scene from Gavin and Stacy when Ness asks to borrow the remote batteries as she needed some me time!!!!)
  • Kaz - the timing was funny! :rotfl:Your stash list looks pretty under control to me :) You've obviously got to the stage where you know what you like and what you will actually use :T

Rosemary - I'm most tempted by the Jacob/mohair one that you've chosen or the Hebridian Double White Check (a whole new language! :rotfl:) I like the darker colours but would also like the throw to be quite soft. I love the idea of supporting rare breeds and UK made products so I'm v pleased that you mentioned it. I'll take a proper look later :)

LadyMorticia - I forgot to say that I completely identified with the 'do I have the energy to wash my face?' feeling. That's partly why things last for so long! I think I've bought lots of things because they symbolise self-care/looking after myself but they won't do much good if I don't actually use them

I agree! It does suck. It means missing so much (my OH's exhibition opens tonight and I can't go. I feel bad for letting him down again...) I don't have a wheelchair but I've only been well enough to leave the house twice this year :( I still live with my parents but am hoping to find a place with my OH sometime this year (it's fantastic that you got your place with your OH - I've been reading back over the old threads). I'm not sure what triggered the M.E. in me - I suspect GF but it wasn't diagnosed at the time so I'll never know for sure. I got ill, kept working, kept having to take more time off and eventually ground myself to a complete standstill. Once I stopped working I think that I just slept for an entire year  I've been ill for a very long time now but I don't like to say how long as it's too discouraging for other people with M.E. People do get better but nothing's worked for me so far. I'm still hopeful though :)

I have loads of friends with M.E that I've made since I've been ill. Some have got better over time, some have got worse and some have just stayed where they are. I seem to be in the "getting worse" stage, unfortunately but being ill so much makes me appreciate when my friends come to stay or just being able to get some fresh air.

I have so many facial washes, scrubs and moisturisers because I buy them to make myself feel better but never have the energy to use them.:o

Yeah, just had email from LIB to say my You box has been dispatched so excited.

I'm in exactly the same cycle :o The thing is it does cheer me up when I try something new and it's difficult to give that up, which is why I'm here ;)

My M.E. seems to be getting worse too :(. It's so flipping mysterious/unpredictable. I used to have lots more 'good' days but they're few and far between now. This thread is excellent for distracting me though
  • Hello ladies,

Firstly, welcome Willowbee, you are a lovely addition to this friendly thread!

Secondly, a bit of advice please for those who Ebay, I've got quite a chunk of my stash plus some cosmetics (I haven't included these at all in my stash as it would have just gotten right of of hand, plus most UU are real LHJ in this area - I'm going for the quick wins!!) that I'm not overly excited about using, don't need, don't really like etc I'll get to the point soon!! Ok, so what do you find goes well, any particular types of products, brands etc? If its not worth Ebaying certain things I'll put them up for swapsies on the FB group.

    Thanks in advance :)
