BTW; Batiste is on for 3for2 at Boots. I know a lot of you use it.
Right; I'm just going to load the TD with towels and then I'm going up stairs to start on my toiletries list. Gulp!Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0 -
Kaz2904 - good luck with your list! I'm still adding to mine, bit by bit. I keep finding more things
LadyMorticia - fab news about your extension being connected. So glad that you didn't have to pay £200 :T
I'd love to dye my hair but daren't as my scalp is sensitive to SLS so I reckon it's best for me to avoid chemicals altogether. I get so bored with my hair though
Asset2004 - I'm doing my best to ignore the BS sale too! I'm longing to buy a load of BBs but that's just because I've read about them here :rotfl:
SuiDreams - the beauty boxes seem to have helped stop me randomly buying things. I've found a couple of things that I'd buy again but mostly I enjoy trying out small amounts of interesting things.I haven't been here long but I've also found that I'm suddenly better at remembering/bothering to use body lotion etc as well :rotfl:

Kiplingmonkey - I go to Springs, in Leicestershire. Have done it for the past few years with my mum, rather than spending money on each other at christmas.
They do a 'deal' in March - Mother/ Daughter break. So for under £400:eek: we get two nights accomodation (premier room:D:D), 6 meals each - food is lovely! As well as three treatments and use of all the facilities. I do love a good hula hoop class!!!!!!. I don't think its toooo bad really, as I have in the past paid £60 to stay in a T/L***e - very basic room and no food!!! I have to say, that some of the residential stays are over £1000 - now I wouldn't be paying that for a week in the UK!
We looked at Ragdale Hall last year, but to stay overnight is quite expensive, and it's just that bit too far away from me to fully appreciate a full day there, without feeling tired. Might splash out in Oct, and take mum there for the day - could find a hotel needby to stay over the night before I'm sure.
I always like to go away with mum a couple of times each yr, so this have become something of a tradition now.

Rosemary - I've just been to look at the throws at Blacker Designs and they are beautiful :heartpuls I'm tempted to ask my parents if I can have one tucked away for a birthday present (kept until June!) I spend a lot of time wrapped up in bed/on the sofa resting (I'm another person with M.E.) so anything cosy like this really appeals to me. I'm not sure which one I'd choose though...0

Scrappie - that sounds wonderful
How nice to have a tradition of going away with your Mum rather than pressies at Christmas. It actually sounds like it's really good value - such a treat and lovely to look forward to :j

Sarah*a - WOW! £250 worth of Flakes *faints*
Maddiemay - Thank you for the encouragementI think you're wise to unsub from emails with special offers. I think I'll have to do the same...
Dollypop - I got my Zoya nail varnish from Boudoir Prive (now JolieBox). It's 'Marina' - a greyish blue. It's not what I'd normally choose but I love it! It lasted really well which is unusual for my nails. I'd really like 'Jem' from the same collection (Smoke and Mirrors) but it's expensive stuff and I have lots of other NV to choose from
Scrappie - I'm never going to look at QVC (I hope!) I would fall for the Elemis & L'Occitane offers and probably Liz Earle as well. *must not look* :rotfl:
I haven't really given the Creme Tomate a fair trial yet. It came in a beauty box and I was really excited to try it but it didn't do much at all! It seemed like a v ordinary moisturiser to me but I'll let you know if my impression changes. (I could always put some in a tester pot for you if you'd like to try it?)
Mrs Addicted To Spending - I will bin the things that irritated my skin. It's silly of me not to have done so but I keep hoping they will be different the next time that I try them! Thank you for your encouraging words about feeling a sense of triumph when not spending. I think this is true. I'm chuffed with my little list of UUs already but at the same time I'm having to consciously resist the Body Shop offer (!). This challenge is already doing me the world of good though
Kaz - your reply (#560) was so interesting. Congratulations on only having a year left on your mortgage :T
I have far too much 'stuff' in general and would like things to be less chaotic. I'm in the initial cataloguing & organising phase and have boxes and bags everywhere! I guess that it has to get/look worse before it can get better? It must have been so rewarding to get things sorted, one room at a time. I'd love to have a place for everything and everything in it's place! That's my main motive for doing this I think. I'll be happy to save money and get good value out of what I already have but what I'd like most of all is s-p-a-c-e! I don't think I'll ever get down to a single thing for each type of product - it's in my nature to chop and change - but I definitely need to cut down to much fewer choices! :rotfl: I will always be a bargain hunter though but I can see how that instinct leads to danger too...0 -

I'm on the naughty step too for ordering the YOU beauty box and the EL BB cream sample. I ordered it before I had my slight meltdown/panic at how much stuff I've got...:o0

M.E sucks.Mine was triggered by Glandular Fever.
I spend alot of time in bed or on the sofa with my duvet as I can't do alot. I'm in a wheelchair when I'm out but I miss being able to take long walks.

I agree! It does suck. It means missing so much (my OH's exhibition opens tonight and I can't go. I feel bad for letting him down again...) I don't have a wheelchair but I've only been well enough to leave the house twice this yearI still live with my parents but am hoping to find a place with my OH sometime this year (it's fantastic that you got your place with your OH - I've been reading back over the old threads). I'm not sure what triggered the M.E. in me - I suspect GF but it wasn't diagnosed at the time so I'll never know for sure. I got ill, kept working, kept having to take more time off and eventually ground myself to a complete standstill. Once I stopped working I think that I just slept for an entire year  I've been ill for a very long time now but I don't like to say how long as it's too discouraging for other people with M.E. People do get better but nothing's worked for me so far. I'm still hopeful though
