  • Oh dear, the latest in beauty 'You' box just jumped in my basket and I accidentally checked out :D:D

I blame you lot, I'd never heard of beauty boxes till I came on here!

I also found out that I've wion a competition for a years supply of Carte Noire coffee and a £250 Luxury Cadbury Flake hamper - I'm equalling dreading and super curious to see what £250 worth of Flakes looks like

Have a lovely day all :happyhear
How lovely :T- just how much would £250 of flakes weigh???

Budge up on the naughty step everyone - I am afraid my mouse slipped and I ended up with one of these too.....

Have GA some lipsticks today though. My sister is staying and she happened to mention that the lipstick I gave her last time she came was 'spluttering' (my term, not hers). Anyway I rootled in my stash and have GA the following which were all GWPs:

    Clinique - sweet honey lipstick
    Clinique -
blushing nude lipstick (still leaves me with 2 of these :o)
    Clinique - pink spice lipstick
Clinique - berry freeze/blushing nude lipstick

Am going to have a further rummage to see if there are any other lipsticks she can take home with her as there is no way I will ever get round to using all the ones I have.

Forgot to add - happy birthday VALM :bdaycake:

I think we should complain to the webmaster, I just had a You beauty box buy itself as well!
  • I need to go back through the thread to reply to people but I just wanted to report in right now as I'm sitting surrounded by stuff & am feeling a bit overwhelmed! I actually feel a little panicky about how much I have, but I wonder if that is good for the long-term sense of needing to stop buying? I now have a third stash list and it still isn't everything :embarasse. This one is very useful though as it was stuff that was stored in a drawer under my bed and it's all the really old bits. I've been reunited with some old friends but have found an awful lot that I'm less keen to work my way through  I now have a cardboard box full of things to tackle first. I'm sure this is for the best and I'm really glad that I found you all but it's a bit of a bumpy emotional rollercoaster so far :o.

(I'm sorry if this is a bit downbeat. Maybe this is normal when people first write up stash lists?? Xxx)

Willowbee, this is good, it means that you are on the road to recovery!
Now; Listen; Pick yourself up. Dust yourself off and look at the oldest stuff you have. What's the damage there? If you have any really boring shampoo or shower gel in there, you can use these for cleaning around the house. Especially the bathroom, it's only soap scum which creates the dirt so soap will remove it. It can also be a lovely fresh smelling toilet cleaner.
How about moisturisers; can you bear to use them? If not, find something else to do with them. I'm sure someone else will be along with great ideas soon xx

Kiplingmonkey; I wish I was your sister, I'm "well jel!" :D. I have 2 lippies. One is really old and really boring but I'm working my way through it so that I can open up the other one from my stash.

I am sure that others will have better ideas, but here are a few:-
Hair conditioner - great for shaving legs, underarms etc. Also can be used as a deep conditioner, dampen hair a little, comb through a generous amount of conditioner, tie back or use a shower cap and leave for a while then shampoo out.
Less exciting shampoo can be used for the first application and nicer stuff for the second, I got through quite a lot of ones that I had gone off this way.
Shampoo and shower gel can be used as handwash.
Stick type lip salves are great for using on cuticles on fingers and toes.
When I started clearing out ready for my big house move, I was really fed up with myself at all the money I could have used for weekend break/concert tickets etc.
Apologies if others have already posted this stuff before, people here are so kind and supportive, not to mention funnny and inspiring.

Dont worry Willow, you are doing really well, my stash list doesnt even include the things from my bedroom, I am going to "get around to them" when there is a bit more room in my bathroom.

We are here for you, even if appears we can be a bad influence at times ;)

Oh and when you have managed to clear out your cardboard box (if its a smallish one) give yourself a pressie... something non toiletry of course, like you would if you met a target losing weight or what have you. If its a HUGE cardboard box give yourself a smaller target.
