Hi, I really need to join this challenge as my toiletery stash is horrendous (and my OH keeps getting annoyed when I buy more!!)

I'm a sucker for make up (most recent purchase was Naked2 pallette) so I've got my self a little make up caddy and put in my 'everyday' make up. Everythings pretty much full so I don't need to buy anything (although I do want a new foundation, not liking my one too much atm)

    Recent in:

    MAC lingering eyebrow pencil
Clarisonic Mia - (oops), so far it seems a good purchase

    Recent outs:

100ml bottle of Lush Calacas - WBA but was limited edition
Avon Winter Warmer shower gel - WNBA, was nice but nothing special
A conditioner from a hairdye - many moons old and I used it as a deep conditioner - nothing special
Liz Earle C&P - I already have a back up of this, I do like it but feel it could be better.

What, if any, incentive do you use to keep you from buying (yet more of the same things we have in stock)?

I first thought that I would be able to treat myself to the occasional salon beauty treatment, but if I were to use all the stuff I have properly and regularly, I probably would not really need to, apart from the indulgence factor. So now I am thinking, I will need a new lap top in a while, anything I save in the UU and the £2 coin pot could go towards a better spec, or even an i-pad, however as I can be a changeable sort of bod, the target coluld be different again tomorrow:)

No more UU's, but a few splutterers, and when my Clarisonic arrives there will be some INS.

    Have a good Monday everyone.

I cant tremember who it was that mentioned the BS deoderant didnt really, well, de smell... but I would like to share with you all that tonight I really really stink. Today was a quiet day with lots of sitting down and writing essays, and I had a bath last night, but I could knock out an elephant...

We shant be buying that again! So Who knows a good roll on? I cant really use sprays they make me sneeze like a nutter =)

Whoever was looking for deodorant recommendations; I highly recommend Dove stick deodorants. They smell nice enough and keep me fresh. When it gets really hot and sweaty, all you smell is the nice clean smell of the dove and it moisturises your pits beautifully!
    Welcome newbies :D

No UU's for me but no ins either so I'm ok with that!

I second what Kaz says but I use the roll ons rather than the stick, although I used to use the stick and liked it the roll ons are slightly cheaper, I would definitely recommend both.

The incentive i use is taking all the money i would have spent and put it into a jar and go on nice a holiday instead. Can daydream about holidays around the counter if that helps :)
    CC consolidated to £3400
    Loan[STRIKE] £12770[/STRIKE] £7150
    Mortgage :(
  • My incentive is purely to declutter the house. It also makes me feel good when I ignore Boots points promotions and offers - just because it's a bargain doesn't mean I need it!!

I've realises I don't have that much of a problem after listening to you lot!!
    Virtual Sealed Pot Challenge #148 - £59.93
    Crazy Clothes Challenge # 103 - £84/£200 £30 Coat/£12 shirt/£23 jeans/£6 t-shirt/£13 2 x tops
Shoes £79/£100: Cowboy boots, canvas pumps, re-heal boots/ £25 safari shoes
  • Kipling Monkey - thank you (I think!) for the explanation of what a TSV is. Ooooh...L'occitane and Elemis? Uh oh ;) It might be useful for when I've saved up for a Clarisonic with my £1 UU reward but that won't be for years :rotfl:

    Fiasco55. Thank you :)
The Louise Galvin shampoo was my HG as well until our Tesco stopped selling it and I couldn't get it on special offer :(

Hello Trudij! Thank you for the conditioner as shaving cream tip. That will help my UUs along :T It was super-kind of you to offer your new friend a place to stay. I hope he has better luck job hunting very soon.

Dollypop - I have one Zoya nail varnish (from a beauty box) and I love it. Lucky you having three new ones :) Your body lotion buy sounds like a real bargain and despite having just listed my stash it sounds tempting, which is why I'm here (!) \How on earth does everyone resist the 'bargains'???

:wave:Scrappie. Two weeks without the internet?
I hope that you and your cats have a lovely afternoon (I'm by the fire with mine).

bubble32 - I didn't really want to make a list but I'm glad that I did. I spent yesterday doing it. Mine isn't complete yet but I started with the bathroom as I thought there wouldn't be that much...(Wrong!) It helped me understand how much I have and I ended up with a basket of things to concentrate on using up first.

FannyAdams - I really want a YSL Glossy Lip Stain. They look wonderful  Mustn't buy, musn't buy...:rotfl:(I might use my Boots points of a Real Techniques brush set though.)

Ma-ri-ella - what a lovely collection of donated ins, especially the Crabtree & Evelyn hand scrub :)

:wave:Hanval. I think that your approach of using one thing up at a time is much more sensible but I don't think that I have the willpower for that! All of my willpower is going to be needed for avoiding INs (I'm also trying to stop buying clothes as well, which may be too much of a challenge all at once )
Boo! to the handwash not being an exciting colour but least you'll be left with a lovely container to decant other hand washes into :)

nikki2804 - a Clarisonic Mia AND the Naked 2 pallette? *swoon*

Maddiemay - I'm saving my £1s for a Clarisonic Mia but I'm a changeable bod too (:rotfl:) so who knows if I'll hold out that long? (I've got £2 so far!) I'm hoping that seeing my stash begin to go down will be a reward in itself but I fear it's going to be v v difficult to resist new INs...

Itzybitzy - I wish I had bought the Hello Kitty Liberty things in the sale...
