I have a degree in english lit - pre 18th century focus, so if you need any help, just email me :)

    Thank you.

I'm really stupid. :( I'm finding it really hard to understand the old English and to translate what it actually means. :( I don't have that many problems with Shakespeare but for some reason I just can't grasp Doctor Faustus. :(

Haven't done much of anything today, but did manage to clear out my main handbag and repaint toenails. It will be a very long time till I get a nail varnish uu though. Will be bining my mascara in the next few days as it will have been open for 6 months and its starting to get a bit clumpy now. Just need to decide which one to use next.

    Weekend UU's:

sisley eye contour mask sample - felt very nice and wasn't irritating to the eyes. I doubt I will purchase as this is very expensive

Prada candy - Initially I thought this was too sweet, but I loved how it wore on me for hours and how the scent settled later as a soft clean scent

OPI avojuice winter huckleberry travel size lotion - Very handy and smelled great. Got tons of compliments. I'd probably buy again

Jouer moisture tints in golden - lovely tinted moisturizer with a hint of golden flecks to make the skin glow. I'm thinking about buying this later

Tokidoki sample - sorry I can't tell you want scent it is as it was a small rollerball, but it was sweet n fresh and very handy to have in my handbag.

Chanel beaute initiale eye sample - absolutely loved this so much. Clean scented and very moisturising

Wilkinsen nail polish remover - will never buy again. I won't even use it if it was given to me for free.

GA: Yardley's body wash in Rose to my mother in law

You're not stupid, it's not easy to understand a book that was written centuries ago as times have changed so drastically and so has the english language. Like I said, if you need any help just email me ;)

  • You're definitely not being stupid, Lady M! I picked up The Merry Wives Of Windsor the other day thinking that it would be good to read an unfamiliar Shakespeare play and I found it impossible! I'd forgotten how alien the language is. I'm so impressed that you're doing a course despite brainfog & being exhausted:T

Which OU course are you doing? (I did an English degree a long time ago and looked at the OU MA last year but got freaked out by the fees so didn't sign up :()

Itzybitzy If I didn't say before, thank you for sharing your stash pictures :) I really enjoyed looking at them :) Actually I know I forgot to say that as was looking at them when out last night (it's ok, was with family and waiting for food to arrive :p)

Got my moisturiser - yay! My skin today was a bit red & rash-y iykwim? So I'm hoping getting back to a constant regime will help it out.

    TAs
Avon Liquid Liner Black: WIBA? Maybe. This was so old it was looking blue... weird.
Avon Liquid Liner Brown: WIBA? Maybe. This had just gone watery with old age
Boots trial Black Liquid Liner: WNBA: Smudged and transferred despite being on for hours :( I need my makeup to last if I work 8-6!

    GAs
    Lancome Mini Juicy Tube
    Benefit Lipglosses x 3
    No7 P&P Lip Care

These were all used maybe once or twice, but have gone to a new home with my sister (and niece)
    EL Sumptuous Mascara GWP Size
    Lancome Hypnose Senses Sample Vial
EL Stay-in-Place Lip Pencil (Generous GWP size!)
Gave these to a friend I saw today. Took the two bits for her, then gave her the lip liner out of the GWP I got today, as I don't wear lip liner, and if I gave it to Mum or a sis, it would just gather dust in their collection. She was really happy with the little bits, so I'm glad I did :)

    UU
EL Individualist Foundation: WIBA? It's no longer available :( I really liked this. Had it for a v long time, it was with my Mum when she ran out, and went today to see if she still had it. It was there, but only had a tiny bit which I UU, then it finished :(

    INs

    EL Daywear for Dry Skin
    Sumptuous Mascara GWP size (GWP)
EL Lip Gloss Full Size (GWP)
    EL Re-Nutriv Cleanser (GWP)

In case you think I'm hiding bits from the GWP from my INs, I'm not keeping them!! The Re-Nutriv moisturiser and serum will go to Mum. The Re-Nutriv Hand Cream and full size lipstick will go to sister2.

Feeling realy low, it was my birthday yesterday and only one of my facebook friends said happy birthday :( still feeling miserable today and fed up. Just feel like the last 1o years have passed me by, made some bad decisions with ex boyfriends and got stuck in rut. I have a really lovely BF now but I think that I've wasted so many years and not made any progress or achievements.

Belated happy birthday for Friday :bdaycake: - IKWYM about the looking back etc - my worst birthday was 30 as my life hadn't turned out as I had expected/wanted so I was really miserable. Now have 2 lovely DDs so things do turn out ok in the end. Hope your next 10 years go better...

UUs seem to be gathering pace now:

Bare Minerals Prime time (radiance) - love the BM prime time foundation primers but have struggled with the consistency of this one a bit - in the end I scooped it out of the bottle with a cotton bud. Am hoping that the new anti redness one will be better but WBA definately and need to replace as I have opened a new bottle now and I do like to make sure I have a spare of this.

Liz Earle - foot repair - WBA but only if they sort the pump out - someone else has already commented on here how bad it is - in the end I cut the tube open to make sure I got every last bit out.

Trevor Sorbie - mousse - this is one of my HG products and I stockpile when it is on offer in Boots as I don't use any others and wouldn't want to be without this.
  • Kiplingmonkey - I had commented on the liz Earle foot repair, but actually noticed in John Lewis the other week that it's in a normal squeezy tube now, no pump. Just FYI! Got lots of other creams and potions to use before I buy again though!!!

Thank you. My problem is that I don't even know where to begin to ask for help because there's so much I need help with! It would really help if I could find a modern translation online, just to I could grasp what everything means, but I've searched and I can't. .:(

    Thanks Willowbee.

I'm doing AA100 - The Arts Past and Present. I want to be a journalist so I'm studying to do an English Literature and Create Writing degree because I just wanted to bite the bullet and update my Education, but I'm starting to wonder if I've maybe put too much upon myself as I'm so ill at the moment and can't even remember my name some days.:o

That's good to know, but like you have lots of other lotions and potions to use first :rotfl:. Have just started a Clarins foot cream and that is rather nice too - it is only a 30ml size so won't last too long - it is really thick and luxurious and I am impressed so far...
