    Cold weather payment???

Where are you living - Siberia?

It's not cold here in the UK to have to worry about those payments

The Met Office have notified the Department for Work and Pensions that no periods of very cold weather have occurred in the PO4 postcode area between 1 November 2011 and 30 January 2012 that would trigger a Cold Weather Payment. No Cold Weather Payments are due to be made.

I'm in Portsmouth too, its not been anywhere near as cold as it was last year and it hasn't snowed either!

Oh gosh..lol.. I'd forgotten about my CWPs... as above.. you can check via that link using your postcode. From memory the temp needs to go below zero for 7 consecutive days at your local weather station. As you're in Portsmouth (Almost France..lol!) and in the middle of a very mild winter (Dandelions are popping up in my garden!) I will predict there may be no payments this winter unlike last. Just for record I live in north east and my external thermo readings only went below zero one day this winter so far... as compared to last winter when week after week it did and many payments (7 I think) were triggered.
