Because SFF host that site too. It means once the server crashes as it did on Saturday, all their sites are affected around the world.0 -
Looks like server problems for the wreck-it-ralph code on showfilmfirst although keep trying and it will load, Manchester tickets all gone0

I was about to post 'bring on the chat about the website not working on the codes thread', and I couldn't type it fast enough before the bloody chat started on the codes thread.0

About 50 people @ Paisley didn't get in - they let the people with paper's in first but there were still a lot of people disappointed. Should have chosen Coatbridge showcase instead - no problems getting in there
Was turned away from a sky screening at Coatbridge just before Christmas despite there being seats left. Fire safety was given as the reason. Very odd. Why build a cinema with a certain number of seats then not be able to fill them.Having money won't make me happy but it will help me to be miserable in comfort0 -
Thanks - problems with showfilmfirst website at the moment?
This is a useful site to check if websites are down:

I've had this discussion with Odeon when friends of mine were turned away at 10.10 on a Sunday morning.
The manager of the cinema told me he has to leave a percentage of seats free on H&S reasons. I thought it would be 2 or 3. It turns out that in a screen holding just over 100 seats he leaves 30 free!!!!!
I also spoke to the larger Odeon in Liverpool, they don't do it but they do leave house seats free in paying films for any problems that customers have.
Cineworld employ this leaving seats free crap because if they have every seat occupied they have to have staff permanently in that room.
Don't know about Showcase or Vue.
Picturehouse don't have this system either.0 -
Managed to get wreck it Ralph tickets for bluewater0

Interesting and thanks for the information. I suppose there is more to the management of larger crowds and that would seem to be a management issue rather than anything to do with the building. And staff cost money...Having money won't make me happy but it will help me to be miserable in comfort0 -

It's definitely a money/staff thing for Cineworld. Mine has 8 screens, if they had 8 staff in the films, it means no staff for box office, food n drink, checking the toilets etc.
But I have had chats on Twitter with people who are H&S experts and they disagree with each other!
It makes no sense to me. If a cinema with 3/4 screens can fill each one without having staff in there permanently, why can't a small Odeon? And I know I have been in large Odeons with every seat filled for both previews and paid for films!
Mind you, if a small cinema is turning away 30 people for each big film each day of the opening two weeks, they must be losing a fkn fortune!0
