Teesside also oversubscribed and only allowed in those with Newspaper and ticket. Not a single seat left, and many turned away.

I can't believe how many are surprised that it was over subscribed.
They always issue more tickets to compensate for no shows and some of those who have posted, should know this already!

I was sickened to see that obviously there were no shows at Liverpool as it wasn't full and nobody was turned away (Unless they arrived late).
  • I was asked for ID last night as well, first time ever.

About 50 people @ Paisley didn't get in - they let the people with paper's in first but there were still a lot of people disappointed. Should have chosen Coatbridge showcase instead - no problems getting in there

First time ever we were asked for the paper (magazine) at Manchester Showcase.

Guy was kind enough to say he'd get in us in eventually, and he understood that it wasn't a regular thing for people to need the paper. But as the queue of people without papers began to get more and more annoyed, and bigger than the amount of people he was actually letting in, he gave in and let us all through.

He said that he had been sent an email from The Daily Mail saying people needed the paper. I can only assume they are trying to crack down on websites such as these where people are not purchasing their paper for the code.
  • I was at Manchester showcase too. Were asked for paper but he just said "O well you should have had it really!". I think they opened another screen there as people on our row and another group of people who were split up got up and left? Do you know if they did LouFace?
At first I thought that film wasn't for me but was crying by the end!!

We were right at the front (literally the second people in line), there was an old couple in front of us who were the first to be told they needed the paper, and every single person he said that to said 'we've never needed them ever', 'it doesn't say on the tickets'....he pointed out that it says in very small writing at the bottom of the ad in the paper that you needed it. I guess by the time he got to you he was tired of saying the whole speech :P

He told us we'd all get in because he'd put it in a bigger screen than he was meant to, so i'm not sure if he'd put it on in another screen also.

O well we were a bit late and I was worried that we wouldn't get in, but we ended up with decent seats so I was really happy. The seats were a bit wobbly, but with free parking overall I was really impressed.

On a different note, SFF site has crashed again. They really need to realise the amount of people who are going to be flooding the site, and get that fixed.
