That's awful, i can understand it if you have paid, but a freebie? What is wrong with people. Looking forward to Les Mis tonight, better make sure i get there early to get 20th row 5th seat in lol :)

Ah! But are you sure you want the 5th seat in and not the 4th or 6th?
I keep updating the list of cinemas on my post for Les Mis as I check for tickets for me, nobody seems to be returning for Norwich which is what I need but they are becoming available in other areas as people return tickets so worth checking if you know anyone else who wants tickets!

Good on her for not moving. How do you know why she didn't want to move?

I sit in certain seats for a reason, maybe she does too. If I move one seat either way, it can mean the difference between seeing or not seeing the screen properly and/or sitting comfortably and not in a huge amount of pain.

I have even come back from the loo to find some rude person has taken it upon themselves to move my bag and coat from my seat.

Unless you or your companion need some help during a film, just take the single seats. You're there to watch the film, you don't need to be seated next to someone you know. I've had to sit away from my companions before now when we've arrived later than usual and we haven't been able to see seats together.

Went to Norwich Odeon last night and we were a bit late getting there, security guard for Sky tried to help us find a seat, right at the back there were two separate seats either side of a couple and the guard pleasantly asked the lady if they would move up one, well she started off on one about how she had got there early because this was where she wanted to sit and moving one seat either way would put her out, so I told the security guard thank you but to leave it, I didn't say so but I had no wish to sit near somebody quite that unpleasant!!!!

Actually her reason was that she wanted to see down the stairs as opposed to seeing over seats:rotfl:

I was quite willing to sit separately from my partner (I never said I wasn't prepared to sit separately from my partner), just not near this objectionable (In my opinion) lady!

I can accept that the lady didn't want to move, but it's all in the way it is said!

Also I would never even think to touch somebodys personal belongings as I have principles, which is why even though I sometimes am in my seat extremely early and have chosen seats that I prefer I move one up or one down as requested by cinema/security staff.

This remark from you (Although you are as entitled to your opinion as I am to mine) has just reminded me why I have only just taken you off Ignore to give you a second chance of not being so rude to people:)

Worth noting as well that the terms state you will need page of paper with the code along with the tickets.

Terms and Conditions: Tickets are subject to availability and will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Each reader may select up to 2 tickets. Readers who successfully claim Les Miserables preview screening tickets must present a copy of this weekend's Mail on Sunday page with the ticket and have ID available if required. No photocopies of the page will be accepted. Tickets are not for resale, no cash alternative. No late admittance. The cinema reserves the right to refuse admission. In the event of a dispute the cinema manager’s decision is final. To the cashier: On presentation of this page, with a valid ticket for Les Miserables, cert 12A, please admit up to 2 people, number of seats on ticket, to the 6.30pm or 7pm preview screening Tuesday January 8, 2013.

Not sure how strictly cinemas will be enforcing the requiring the paper page. Of all the previews I go only the Virgin Media ones ask for ID occasionally.

Slightly worried about this now as I have Les Mis tickets for tonight at Covent Garden. I've never been asked for pages from magazines/newspapers before when going to free screenings, but am now paranoid as it's for such a huge film!
