Covent garden Odeon didn't ask for the page (luckily!). Got there at 6pm and the screen was already quite full. Lovely woman on the door let me leave my friends name with her as I went in to bagsy some seats. Just as well as there was a queue big enough to fill the cinema screen again by the time she arrived!
Les Miserables was amazing. Anne Hathaway's performance reduced me to tears0 -

There was clapping in Cardiff too. I absolutely loved it, was speechless at the end. I have seen the stage musical too which was also outstanding. We did not have the newspaper so were put on a waiting list. I believe everyone got in eventually and there were about 3 odd seats left.0

...and in Tunbridge Wells. Fantastic film, absolutely loved it...just wished I'd taken some tissues...very emotional!0

They were asking for the paper in Norwich too but they'd moved the film to a bigger screen so I think everyone got in ok. There were some empty seats at the front.
I quite enjoyed it and after having seen the theatre show, the film helped me understand what was going on! Some of the singing did seem to go on a bit and they could have done some of it as conversation I felt. They seemed to really zoom in on the people when they were singing, which was a bit disconcerting!0 -
Was at Tunbridge Wells too! Totally brilliant. I have never seen the show but my friend had. We were both completely mesmirized. So many powerful performances, but Anne Hathaway singing ' I dreamed a dream' is something else.0

Asked for the paper in Glasgow too, but eventually let in without it at 7. There were still some empty seats. Great film, we had applause at the end too0

Oversubscribed and only allowed in those with Newspaper and ticket.
First time I have ever known this happen.
Not a single seat left, and many turned away.
As DD said - Why issue more tickets than seats available ?
We were fortunate to get in, and thoroughly enjoyed the film.
As others have commented - Anne Hathaways performance was outstanding0
